Yes that's what I heard from the very few crumps of information, that amDoge leaves here.
Blackcoin has a multipool that mines altcoins, sells them for BTC and buys BC. The idea is genious as it generates constant buy pressure and sellwalls get simply crushed by miner's power.

Asics in BTC are bad because they pushed the rates to terahashes. But a LTC Asic does less than half of a 290 you need at least 2 Asics to replace 1 290x

And vertminer needs strict temperature monitoring. If this doesnt work, it will kill the RAM on the cards.
My rigs have an additional monitor script that shuts the miner down when temp goes above 85

I need to know what's relevant in order to implement PoS. I'm currently looking at fehcoin which is foocoin with PoS but the changeset seems too huge to make sense of it. Ideal would be a pull request for another coin already existing somewhere but I haven't found anything yet in that regard.

I also suggest you don't make it like Mintcoin's. If you sell some Mint, the PoS starts all over again and you have to wait the 20 days for it to start minting again. This makes it even less likely for someone to spend their coins. You already have the deflationary aspect.

Right now it seems like implementing it isn't as simple as I thought it would be so we might need to switch the codebase completely to peercoin and somehow copy over the existing blockchain. After that's done we can worry about the details.

I still think the multipool is the best idea so far.

Everything else people are suggesting is good but we need to get some liquidity back first. The price doesn't have to skyrocket but we need there to be some buy orders.

Once the multipool is up and running and we know for a fact that buy support is there we can work on new services and merchants and we'll have a good chance of going forward.
