The Iota smart contract (SC) allows the following: the oracles store the data in the tangle and the SC combines the common average response from the responses of the different oracles to the other SC requesting the data, and sends the response via the tangle. In Chainlink’s vision, oracle data is not sent to the tangle but is collected directly together and the final response is sent to the tangle. The Chainlink system reduces the amount of data stored on the DLT platform. This matters a lot in the slow Ethereum, but less so in Iota. On the other hand, when oracle responses are recorded in the tangle, it is easier to objectively monitor the activity of the oracles. It is very interesting to see if Chainlink and Iota will have nice synergies in the close future due to smart contracts and oracles.

This would be so huge if Iota Chainlink would start to cooperate and they have good chance to do it!
