Shitposting aside,
it will be interesting to see what happens to gold when time reveals it as apparent that the US dollar isn't going to collapse nor going away.

No, because Japan is very productive, work is in their culture, they have a lot of exports, and they have net savings. America has none of that.

>does anyone think "print goes brrr" can go forever?
Also, you have to realize that since fractional reserve banking they have quite literally never not printed.
This is how the current system is built and supposed to work.
Perpetual creation of new debt and currency.
What we are seeing today is in principle nothing new and nothing unheard of. The only thing that is different from the past is the magnitude of debt creation, but not debt creation itself.
Again, the systems main function is perpetual debt creation.
It is nothing new and out of the ordinary.
>can the US pull off a japan forever NIRP?
Of course. Same system.
>inb4 Japs hold their own debt
^TIME HAS PROVEN THIS TO BE ABSOLUTELY IRRELEVANT^

>No, because Japan is very productive, work is in their culture, they have a lot of exports, and they have net savings. America has none of that.
Completely and utterly wrong to the highest degree imaginable.
It has nothing to do with that.
The system is built upon endless creation of new debt. Interest rates will eventually become close to zero and from time to time even negative.
Japan is under the same monetary system as the US so yes, what we have seen in Japan CAN and WILL be replicated in other countries as well.
It't not about people, it's not about society, it's not about anything like that at all.
The only thing relevant are the mechanisms of the system and the whole fucking world is under one and the same spell.
So yes, it's all equal.

The fed is just going to continue to kill off the remnants of the middle-class with inflation. It’s already been happening for awhile, look at how many Americans are reliant on food stamps, wic, social security, “disability” checks, subsidizing their low pay job selling weed and other drugs, etc.

If America finds itself a major currency yet the economy is largely restricted to North America, the propensity for financial flows into the US will be high.
Regional instability will drive people towards USD. The US dollar is too OP. America caused the great recession of 08, yet financial flows still went to the US economy because it was the only store of value. Global reach, but a relatively regional concern, US policy makers will be willing to throw spwanners into work for any country for any reason using its monetary policy to do that. That's a dangerous environment for bitcoin to be swimming in. Any money not domiciled in the US dollar zone can be seen as a target and opportunity for policy makers.
