>Tesla Inc's (NASDAQ: TSLA) investor and battery day, which is expected to show battery technology breakthroughs, is scheduled for Sept. 22. Tesla recently updated investors on the layout of the event with a new link on the company's website, detailing the day starting with an investor update, followed immediately by a presentation about progress on battery technology.
>The background of the lead image used on the page gives hints to what Tesla is looking to present when it comes to battery updates. The image represents some type of carbon nanotube or silicon nanowire.
>A company working on a similar technology, Amprius, explains that this technology has a much higher energy density than currently used batteries, meaning a lighter battery can hold even more charge. This could lead to cars with significant weight reductions, while keeping a similar range, or even being able to go farther than electric vehicles sold today.
>Benzinga's Take: If Tesla has this type of technology ready for large scale production, it will change the electric vehicle scene overnight. The energy density of this technology could be so high, it could even enable fully electric planes, something CEO Elon Musk has talked about in the past.
>Whatever we see on battery day, it's sure to be an exciting time for all electric vehicles.

>> No.21832930

so, i have about $450k now.
i am wondering. should i just buy and hold some tech, bluechips, tesla, tqqq. or
go 100% cash, and find once in a month, some mooning stock that goes 100%+ in the span of a week or two or so. so like just one solid trade per month, for 10-30% gains, potentially more, and set stop losses at -2% to -5%.
i have found multiple things per month that went 20%+, and traded all of them, but only with like $10k per trade.
so what i'm thinking is: buy and hold tqqq, and set up my terminal to buy and sell my entire portfolio at a click. when i don't find anything or can't be bothered, it just sits. then whenever i find a play, i can sell everything and go all in on the mooning stock i find in just a few seconds.
anyone here has a similar strategy already maybe?

Just put money in and forget about it, same as SOXL or TQQQ, but unlike those last two, be ready to sell at the opportune time. It works on cycles and supercycles that you need to understand to get best results. EXTREMELY comfy +6.59% today! SHLL went to the moon and took me along for the ride, JPM and RL were /dointhangs/, and everything else was good. Didn't make any moves today but I'm dumping JPM as soon as it's a profit and buying something that isn't boomer trash. My portfolio also crossed +50% YTD and stayed there! Trying to make a move over to a different broker but market said bullish so some of that cash needed to go back in the fire. I could do transfer in kind of existing positions but that takes an extended period of time and I'm not sure I trust this market enough to be hands off about those for the transfer period. Will instead just trickle cash across to new account as it becomes available on profit takes.

You get to a point where you actually have to take things more serious.
Big fucking deal if you time a buy wrong or make a dumb investment and lose a few hundred or even thousand. That’s like a week or twos pay for most people.
You fuck up with 20% of your 300k portfolio on a bad bet and you’re going to beat yourself up real bad over it.
That’s why the more money you get the more risk averse you become.

Personally my aims are higher so I YOLO’d $150k.
The cash flow I get from that will probably just go 50/50 into buy and hold blue chips like AAPL, AMZN, NVDA, probably some TSLA
The other 50% will just go to TQQQ and FNGU and some meme plays.
It’s also important to get into investments outside of the stock market.
If you buy a $10 million dollar 200 unit apartment building it’s value doesn’t change with whatever news someone on twitter says or get manipulated through options and fades.
Neither do SMEs that you can invest directly in.

Well, above 350. The obvious buy in moment was that 420->400 move at 400.

NVDA generally gets retarded views on it. Either way too pessimistic or too optimistic.

It was under 200 for a very long time, and then suddenly everyone loves it again after Q1 2020 ER jumping it 200->315.

Basically it gets too much momentum either negative or positive. 500 right now is a lot of positive momentum. It's still a good long term buy but it's on the short-term overpriced side.

400 was a good buy in because it had solidly hit 420+ just before and was likely to continue that positive momentum due to earnings and ampere.
