Collaboration between DEA and Enjin might speed things up rapidly. Looking good!

I mean if I wanted to build a game I wouldn't want to do it on eth
and I think enjin is the only one right now that is trying to do that, right?
but why should someone build his game on a blockchain

It is on the way to be THE one. Big movements going on unnoticed. Only to market it to the public, isn't their strongest part

correct. this is exactly what i've been struggling with lately, especially with how fast and polished ALGO is by comparison.

if ethereum gets as popular as we want it to be, then it would become a disaster for microtransactions. putting a gaming platform on top of it doesn't make sense.

i have coins stuck in ETH liquidity pools because i don't want to pay 30% gas prices (all things considered) so how could you apply that to buying swords or magic beans or w/e in a video game?

but why should a dev use it
can't they use steam's transaction system?
a centralized system works way faster and scales better
also most games that come out dont need to transact anything

their main focus is video games, they authored the ERC1155 standard for NFTs, which is a huge market of their own for collectors, recently Nike patented cryptokicks which gives a NFT to your kick which you can then track, sell, breed to create another kind of kick and Nike might even produce that new shoe for you.

The games dont build on ethereum or blockchain either. They can just use enjin items that are regulated by the blockchain. Its very easy to implement it and all it does basically is the proof of ownership, scarcity, etc. All that enjin is missing is "Efinity". This is their own scaling solution that will launch enjin into the orbit. This is literally the last piece in the puzzle. Mark this, enjin is going to make insane moves until the end of this year.

if it would actually be easier to implement enjin than to do something else then this could be big

I could imagine a viral mobile app not unlike pokemon go
a lot of kids playing and trading tier items on the school playground
something like pokemon cards, but in thier phone, since every kid already has a phone it could be really cool

but I still fail to see why there is a need for it to be on a blockchain

true, for this reason they developed their own ethereum scaling solution called Efinity to precisely to create and transfer NFT at no cost.

Basically the same way they developed the ERC1155 and later became the standard, this scaling solution could very well become the scaling solution for erc-20 since Vitalik the Russian scammer have not delivered yet.

>>21754218
you have a fair point, no body is building shit precisely because the whole blockchain market is a mess and that's what they just fixed.

Microsoft, Samsung and Nike aren't working with them just for memes and laughs

>but I still fail to see why there is a need for it to be on a blockchain

it's simple, imagine you have bought skins on cs:go or items on fortnite, you may think you Own those items, in reality it's just a true or false in a database of these companies saying that the account you have access to either can or not use that item.

If you get banned or hacked you no longer own shit, if you try to buy or sell skins you may also get scammed in both ways as seller or buyer.

When video games implement the Enjin platform all items are CREATED on the blockchain and owned BY the address only you have access to, you can even port weapons from a game to other different game, it also provides supply chain validation by assuring the item you have actually exist for certain value and act as an escrow when buying and selling items.

read about Nike cryptokicks to understand it better sorry for my convoluted explanation

The problem is, I assume is that in order to trade an item that is represented by an enjin token, you need to pay gas.

If that is the case why would a developer want to require all his players to own gas in order to do something as basic as trade items?

>> No.21755162

>>21755071
not with their scaling solution, that's the whole point of Efinity.

You has a player won't even realize you're using a blockchain based solution its all done in the background
