Brainlet, farmers are insured against storms, drought, floods, hail and all that shit that causes them to lose crops.
If there is an oracle providing realiably weather data the insurance payout can be automatic without filling out the paperwork and shit.

it's not about insurance, it's that the weather is essential to planning everything.
say you know it's going to rain next week for 3 days, so you hire 10 guys to work that week for the sowing, you get your equipment ready.
and the rain doesn't come, your fucked. you already promised these guys work, got them to come on site and now you can't do anything
not to mention if your using inoculants or other products that you put in the ground days before sowing. if it doesn't rain your screwed

this is just scratching the surface btw, ultimatley rain is everything to a farmer. validating weather information would be a great help

Why don't they put other data onchain like soil quality, water quality, composting quality etc, so that you can charge extra for your crop because you can prove onchain verifiable that it was grown in the best conditions. Weight is a crap indication of quality.

this is a different kettle of fish.
that's also done by country within their laws.
in america you guys do fucking weird shit to your meat. you can see that post-brexit negotiations are stalling on that front because UK citizens don't want american grade meat, particularly poultry as it's butchered and stuffed full of antibiotics.
the problem with the "population control" conspiracy retards is they miss the biggest motivation for any company in the world.
Money.
Big Ag doesn't care about you or your family's health, but they definitely care about your money. if you die or get sick, or worse your whole town does, that's less purchasing going on. that's less money buying more products.
you have to be a real smoothbrain to think these companies want you dead.

Modern science cannot beat nature in the long run and scientifically modern science has not had a big impact on things like crop yield for example.
