Delayed gratification is not even a concept to most american collegiate or professional athletes. Also its hard to be "stealth wealth" when you are so public (mom wants a new car, uncle's step-son's 3rd cousin wants a new laptop, etc). Biz is an echo-chamber, the reality is most people under 50 aren't investing in anything, not even assets aside from maybe a house.
