the amount of selling going on, that pushes the price down this much. it just doesn't make sense. where is this volume coming from? it's like somebody buying millions of shares, just to sell them at a loss, every day for a week now just to push the price down.

sure but it's not really doing anything extreme today by the looks of it, at least from the perspective of the last 2 trading days and today. i typically look to start a position at the yellow line (2 SD) with the option to double down at the red line (4 SD) currently. could also do something like buy equal amounts at each SD but you'll suffer more drawdown from the 1 SD trades when it actually moves a lot, even though you'll get more scalps from it. also the trend is down so it's riskier to take longs in the short term, so you might look for at least 3 SD (orange line) to make it worth your while. i also like to take half off from 1 SD in profit and another half at the next 1 SD in profit beyond that.

Looked at some REITs and am wondering why some are doing worse than others when it appears the eps is better.

Examples

IVR, $3.06, 0.02 dividend
MFA, $2.71, no dividend
NYMT, $2.66, 0.05 dividend
MITT, $2.88, no dividend

My questions.
1. NYMT looks like the best choice, cheapest stock price and highest dividend. Why is it so low compared to the rest?

2. Why is IVR higher than the rest when it had stock dilution as a dividend and almost had a second dilution but instead did a 0.02 dividend?

3. Just from looking at it IVR and MITT are the highest but dont really seem to offer anything more than MFA or NYMT. What causes this?

Is there something I'm missing in the financials?
