We need more than 5 pools, lifted caps and the new UI before I see this doing anything.
The Bancor team have a limited amount of time; the DEX space is crowded, staking options are crowded. They need to launch a full product within the next couple of months or they are going to get squeezed out by the competition. Here's hoping they're working day and night to make it happen.

The pools are fucking working! Screenshot taken yesterday. Check the rates yourself. Bancor beating everyone on prices for LINK and REN with tiny liquidity. Why is everyone freaking out? They are testing before removing caps and then releasing more.

Let them test and let the weak hands dump and get rekt

Can see they are active all of the time. A huge update was pushed on Github yesterday and the LINK and REN pools are beating Uniswap for trades. Seems only a matter of time before they move out of beta with no caps and launch more pools with a full UI. Also, Nate is expecting.

Yes. He was spotted yesterday setting up a flipchart in the corner of the planned parenthood centre, with graphics outlining how arbitrageurs may cause impermanent loss for young mothers. He's doing really well. I heard Sergey is the father. Apparently they hit it off when penning this blog together a couple of months ago. https://blog.chain.link/challenges-in-defi-how-to-bring-more-capital-and-less-risk-to-automated-market-maker-dexs/ Next thing you know Nate is 8 months pregnant!

how the fuck is the slippage less with less liquidity? That's not what Bancor was supposed to do, it was supposed to give better rates for LIQUIDITY PROVIDERS. This would mean that after cap is removed liquidity would go up and only then would there be better slippage rates. Did you just Photoshop this?

LOLLLL “that’s not what Bancor was supposed to do”

Written like a true Uniswap brainlet

I will leak some alpha on your face but only because it pains me to have such stupidity floating around in the world

Low slippage and LIQUIDITY PROVIDER returns are intrinsically tied together. When you are able to offer lower slippage (ie better prices) with less liquidity that means you’ll instantly attract more trades and more fees with less capital. This means way higher ROI for LPs.

From the beginning Bancor has said V2 will do this and it is doing just that with these test pools. If you are too lazy to go to swap.bancor.network and check the rates on LINK and REN and then check Uniswap and realize how fucked Uniswap is and how insanely BNT will moon than there is truly nothing I can do for you

Confirmed that Sergey, or “Serg Bae”, as Natey Poo calls him, is in fact the father. Such a beautiful couple. I knew when Bancor and Chainlink got together earlier this year that sparks would fly, but I never in my wildest dreams thought things could get this good. So happy for them.

fudder here. yeah, was right about bancor lying about solving impermanent loss, that audits didnt pass, and that v2 would be delayed. they are going to shut down v2, and go back to v1, and work on v3. sell now. i recommend buying snx and aave. also get some yfi suicide insurance.

im getting real nervous, im earning 100%+ APR on my BNT staked, but im starting to FUD myself

what inventive is there for BNT to actually go up in value?
just because im getting more free BNT by providing liquidity, im ultimately going to sell it, and so will everyone else getting it
so at a certain point, why should BNT rise in value? everyone staking it is getting free BNT and then selling it off

>> No.21625029

>>21624531
Smoothbrain. This has been discussed here so many times. Dynamic fees will make it so that the side of the pool that is least liquid will generate more rewards. Since BNT is in every pool, it is often in short supply. Thus, in high demand as it generates very high rewards.

What do you think will have more weight, selling of the eggs or the people wanting to buy a golden goose?

>> No.21625160

I literally stated it above.

LINK + LP fees = LINKBNT 1

BNT + LP fees = LINKBNT 2

Can anyone explain whike the UI sometimes a difference on exit fee + exit amount. 2 hours ago my exit amount was lower bur exit fee % was higher; valued at X LINK. Now my exit amount is higher but the exit fee is lower, with final value still being X. Anyone else experiencing this?

>> No.21625543

>>21625228

Yeah of course just the exit fee, but if you're doing that daily + arent a whale, you'll get a solid haircut from the gas fees. Also overtime you lose your % return in LP.

If someone is cashing our profits, while other is using those profits to provide more liquidity, person 2 will hsve a higher % stake as a liquidity provider. Seems small now, but when youve got many 6/7/8 fig (institutions or treasury funds), you'll rapdily dwindle your total APR
