Hey everyone, I’m an 18 year old working in construction but I’m in college for accounting. I’m decent at it and can realistically see myself working in the field.

BUT, when I was 16 I picked up a felony charge and I can’t get it removed from my record. Is that going to fuck my entire life over, or do I realistically have a chance to make it into this field?

What kind of shithole do you live in that your record is permanent? Or did you diddle a toddler? I got done in for assaulting a police officer at 18 during an anti-homo riot, and the record got erased after 4 years or so.

t.not a nigger, just hates fags

It will never be scrubbed but after like 5 years, when you've finished your education it will be "forgotten"

I was caught with a half an ounce of cocaine in separate baggies so I was arrested for intent to distribute. This is also in the south.

Christ, I'd talk to a Jew, I mean a lawyer about this if I was you. The UK where I'm at has free citizens advice, I somehow doubt you burgers have anything like that. But really, talk to a kike, they'll know better than us for sure.

All I can say is, it would be weird as fuck if record didn't get forgiven after a certain time, making it illegal to discriminate against you on its basis, or to even require you to provide it, after a set period. This is how it works in the civilized world, if you paid your debt to society then keeping you out of employment only makes it more likely to make you re-offend. How the fuck is that not the case in the US?

>First lesson learned: never get caught
>Second lesson learned: don't sell coke

Yeah there's probably a way your lawyer can drop it down but that's a sticky charge anon. As someone who was in the game for over 10 years with 0 issues, I feel for you.

Christ, I feel for you guys. To be honest with you, the very idea of a privatized prison system, conjoined with a state judiciary, is just obscene. You either have private, OR state monopolized justice system, combining the two is just wrong on so many fucking levels. OP, seriously talk to a lawyer, there's no way we can help you with that situation.

I think I'm gonna go play some Prison Architect. Haven't played that game in years.
