I've been out of Crpyro for 2 years after losing a ton last crash. My dormant linkies have brought me back into the game and I've made way more than I lost.

But because I have no idea wtf is going on in crypto right now, this new DeFi shit is kinda confusing to me. What exactly does pooling do? What is this voting? There's no whitepaper? What does holding this token do? The GitHub kinda feels like it half explains but half expects you to have participated in similar projects (YAM??? I see that a lot).

What the hell is "harvesting?" Is this like PoWH pyramid scheme where the longer you're in the more you get but wait too long to sell and you get dumped on hard?

Pic related is my beautiful Chainlink dino that I sold around this price. Only sold half my stack and already have more crypto than my wagie bank account has in savings from 8 fucking years of slaving. I just wanna live a comfy life. Help me make it, bros. I will whale into your shitcoin if you tell me what it does. It looks interesting but I just don't get it fully. "Farming" is basically you staking ("lending") your tokens in return for interest earned, in a similar way to how banks give out loans.

In this case, you can model this like BTC. There is a hard cap of 224k tokens, and farming them unlocks them from the contracts and distributes them proportionately to farmers. Similar to BTC mining.

Shrimp is the same YAM code, but with a hardcap, no rebases, and same code for yield. Basically you can earn a shitton until farming is complete; this is to bootstrap the token initially.

In later stages after farming is complete, the token will be used for governance of the coin and for farming new tokens that get released soon.
