Here are my steps (using $500 dollars initially)

>Start with initial large purchase of Ethereum (I personally bought 8 ETH at $26 a few months ago)

>Then immediately put $200 into BTC

>Next, put remaining $100 into alt coins ($20 into ripple, $20 into monero, $20 into siacoin, $20 into Dash, $20 into litecoin)

>Hodl Bitcoin permanently, Hodl ETH permanently

>wait for altcoins to "moon" and sell them when they peak, reinvesting any altcoin profits into Ethereum

Using this strategy, I now have over $2500 dollars in ETH and BTC.

Anyone else do this?

What's your portfolio worth now in BTC compared to when you started?

Well I now have a little over 14 ETH, and the $100 I initially bought of BTC is now worth $200, plus i still have about $200 invested in random alt coins (mostly siacoin, ripple, litecoin, ETC)

I've made a retard mistake once though when i sold some ETH and tried to buy back in at the dip and it never dipped. I lost like half an ether.

Also I invested another $100 since the initial $500 investment.

I tend to ignore $ value and just try to increase the worth of my portfolio relative to BTC.

$ value is relevant for long term holds but I'm looking to increase my overall BTC stash with altcoins and never look at $ value.

Not sure if this is how I should be doing it, as I'm very much a newcoiner.

well isnt that essentially the same thing though?

I just do that with ETH because I have more faith in ETH to be honest.

(Since i've started this, BTC has doubled in value but ETH has increased by 6x)
