Welcome, Marine, to the Ninth installment in what I've dubbed the /comfy/ thread. This is a place for weary marines who've been so desperately hodling on to their stacks to rest their feet- whale, linklet, or otherwise. Vent your concerns, share your worries, ask thoughtful questions, post some good art and music- but most of all, share in the good vibes.

As always, things have been a bit dramatic since the last thread, a dump to 16.70 and lower as we speak. I see many marines who are worried to death over this, but again, I ask you to zoom out. We tend to do this- cool off before a pump. It took significant effort to reach $20, so this is to be expected. Buy the dip. I did, and though I wasn't able to add much, it's the thought that counts.


Temper your expectations. We've made wonderful progress- even 16.70 is better than where we started, and for many, is still profit. These things take times.

We've got good things ahead of us yet still. I firmly believe we're still in the stealth phase of our run, despite our progress and rise in price. We're only getting started, marines, especially when you consider the magnitude of what we set out to do.

On another note, I just received my copy of The Fourth Industrial Revolution by Klaus Schawb, and it supposedly mentions smartcontract.com in there somewhere. Nevertheless, I think it's going to be an important read for all of us, no matter how small the section.

Oh, and, as always, zoom out. Things aren't that bad.

Hm. My only major worry about the project is that it may be too far ahead of it's time. I'm not sure if Crypto, or the world, is ready for the kind of change that Sergey intends to bring about and I'm not sure if the world will accept Link. The fundamentals are there, but, hm. Perhaps I'm just paranoid.

Only invest what you can stand to lose. If Link went to zero, I'd be sad but not devastated. I can't speak for other Marines. Trends are reversed all the time and I think the fundamental value will outshine short term price movements. Link has had worse dumps and longer crabs before.

But prepare yourself. there are quite a few whales out there- and while I'd bet the vast majority are fellow Marines who plan on Hodling, there always is the possibility of another dump. I think we might see 15 again. But I don't think we'd stay there longer than an hour or two.

Link has too much buoyancy to stay down like that.

Wise words. I guess that’s why I’m so comfy. If it goes kaput, it goes kaput. I’m glad I’m witnessing something historic at the very least. Someone in an earlier thread said that only stacklets would hodl to singularity and maybe there’s something to that. Or maybe I’m coping because I’m a stacklet lol.

Between link, ocean, pnk and srm, I’d have made enough to live comfy and move out to rural Kentucky with my wife and live the dream.

Blockchain was truly ahead of its time. Chainlink not so much. Chainlink is the framework blockchain needs to make it big time. It’s the enabler. The world will adopt what’s efficient and I would bet on the most trustless technology.
