But surely this is ignoring the industiral scarcity of the two metals? In literal terms, there may be more Silver above ground than Gold, but actual, pure, ready Silver is rarer than Gold, due to most of the top-ground Silver being either alloyed or manufactured.
This should in turn imply that Silver has (at the very minimum) the potential to climb higher than Gold at a given point of normalization.

Man, /pmg/'s gotten way too fast for my liking in the previous months. I doze off for 3 hours and miss an entire fucking thread.

>>21551014
Shit-tests only occur in an environemnt where a woman believes she's equal or above you. Either assert yourself more, or let her know her place. Because divorce and alimony won't be a thing if the world economy collapses on itself and the government becomes more concerned at feeding its populous and not having to deal with a revolution over if Becky just doesn't feel like it's working out any more and wants half your stack.

>>21556886
The only reason why the Dark Ages were dubbed that was because everything that was written down and recorded was burned by the peasant/royal conflicts in the mid-later half of the milennia (therfore meaning nobody really knows what the fuck happened, making them a *dark* area in the record books). The sky didn't actually go dark, and things weren't actually that grim in relative terms to what came before and after. If it weren't for the peasant uprisings (which, ironically was the protoformative version of communism, with a religious tint), it'd likely be viwed in the sme vein as the Japanese would view the Heian Period, or how central asia viewed Ghengis Khan - just another period in history with shit they knew roughly happened.

I can now see why the perth silver kangaroo has the rays (they're in the early gold nugget designs), but it doesn't look very good on silver imho

Who ever had this site in the past had no idea what they were doing, heck that might be why there was all that gold in the dirt that we thought was salted. it might have been concentrate and the idiots didnt know what to do with it. Still, nothing on the site works worth a dam, we stabbed another engine in this hunk of crap excavator and it still failed again. Now were down for a week til we find a new machine.

My entire day is controlled by silver. I made an alarm that will automatically go off louder than a fire detector when silver breaks $32 so I can wake up and buy it quick online but I like to buy in person so the first thing I do when I wake up is check my stack and then I check prices then watch 2-3 YouTube videos about silver then I go to /pmg/ to post and stuff. I do the same st night and sometimes at work if I have the time. If I think I need to buy silver before it goes up a lot I will take a day off work and I will go to the local silver shop and buy a bunch and spend the rest of my day checking silver. I also check silver prices about every 20 minutes. Do I have a problem?

Tin is an odd ball because most of it comes from placer deposits located in southeast asia, mined the same way gold placers are. Tin is actually rather rare, only appearing at rare placer flakes / nuggets, cassiterite ore or as a rare byproduct of sulfide ore milling in specific areas such as Congo. Were running out of tin right now, production has been slowly quietly decreesing over the last ten years as placer mines have been slowly closing down, and no new major sources have been discovered. The USGS suggests that the US gov should look into subsidizing placer / hard rock tin mining in Alaska but there have been only a few takers to the idea as the locations of the ore bodies are remote and tins price is not viable to mine in those locations currently. https://www.miningnewsnorth.com/story/2018/04/01/in-depth/critical-minerals-alaska-tin/5109.html

>two helicopters

>take out communications tower / dishes with anti material rifles
>take over the main buildings and neutralize site security.
>blow the gated gold storage area
>burn down the server room
>fly out with the bullion
>land at closest logging road and offload with waiting white 150 pickup trucks

sell the bullion at a black market buyer in Vancouver or Calgary, split the profits and hide. Its already been done a few times in the past few months. Cartel guys robbed a mexican gold mine of all its bullion by heli and a mine in northwest BC had its armored car ambushed on the access road and its contence was never recovered either.

Alright man you asked for it, I've been thinking about this for a while and I think I've got it figured out.
Check this, first thing we do is go build some shell company out in some rural state.
Next, we get a little bit of cash together, not a lot just enough to quickly lease some mining equipment.
Now this is where it gets clever. We go get some mining claims.... and we steal it right out of the ground.
We just literally pull it out of the ground, walk away, they'll never see it coming. Stealing the gold from right out under their noses. Oldest trick in the book.

It means that the dollar is falling relative to a basket of other currencies. Strictly speaking, it may or may not be a bad thing. If the dollar were keeping its purchasing power but the other currencies were increasing their purchasing power, the dollar index would fall. However, the most likely reality is that the other currencies are losing purchasing power and the dollar is losing purchasing power more quickly.

It's not necessarily terminal, though. In a few months, it's entirely possible (and perhaps likely) that the DXY will start moving up again as the other currencies weaken.

Also, the DXY index like you mentioned is a measure of USD against basket of other currencies, so purchasing power gain or loss/inflation is baked into the index already. Besides there's no country that openly admits to the true inflation rate so the only way to really glimpse what's going on is the DXY index besides looking at price action of commonly bought and sold goods and assets within each country.

Honestly if you want gold then get gold. I don't if the GSR will go down anytime soon to a reasonable level but I got a 1 ozt of Au when it was ATH this far. I kind of panicked and bought it high though.

I have a 10 ozt bar of Ag and it really isn't that impressive or fun to play with. Plus if shit gets serious it's harder to trade with than 1 ozt rounds but I heard the premiums aren't as high for 10 ozt bars

Don't bother buying gold unless you can buy a full oz. Premiums for fractional gold are insane, better to buy silver at that price.

>wouldn't breaking the USD/EUR 10y trend end up also pumping gold?
If you're talking about the USD going into a secular decline against the euro, yes, gold would probably go a lot higher because it would mean that the confidence in the USD is eroding substantially. What I was talking about is a short term pull back if the USD weakens too much against the euro. Europe's economy is also in the trash and they cannot allow their currency to be too strong relative to other currencies.

>Is it because demand and therefore price of silver/gold will go down because more of it will presumably be entering the market after the delivery date?
What? No, it's supposed to be a zero sum game for the market. Reality is the less physical the banks hold, the less they can leverage their paper claims, so prices will most likely goes up dramatically. And if (((they))) continue to add billions ounces of SLV on the comex after a big delivery month to suppress the price (like they did earlier this year), it will redpill even the normiest of normans about the fact nothing is backing SLV and it's just banksters adding 000's on their computer (a thing 95% of pmg is already convinced about). So the bigger the defiance, the bigger the deilveries, and the bigger the deliveries, the higher the price goes. Silver will reach $50 before october, that's a given now.

I sat on an eBay sale of walking liberty half dollars. It was a 24 hour auction, so most people didn’t notice. Picked up $10 face for $195 at around 2 today.

Don’t bother with anything less than a half ounce unless you find a screaming deal close to spot. The premiums are insane.

In this case, does SLV go to literally zero? If comex defaults, that is. If we're convinced of that, why not go all-in on armageddon tier SLV puts? You could make an absolute killing if it completely defaulted and became worthless, while the value of your physical stack would also moon.

This is not inherently true. Various 20 francs, sovereigns, coronas, and Ducats have a lower premium, sometimes even completely lower/oz than a full oz. Just be on the lookout for those.

Yes, it will default eventually, and we already see a decoupling between physical and SLV since march. The premium we experience is not a random figure chosen by the LCS, they themselves pay a premium to the mints to get their hands on physical (if they manage to get anything at all).
Theorically you are right, SLV could go down to zero the minute big banks involved in the comex announce they can't deliver physical anymore. But in reality i believe they will use all their web of influence to change the rules. For example they could ask their politicians buddies to change the legislation at the last minute to make deliveries limited to X amount per customer and per year (to avoid financing terrorism of course :^).. ), or create a new tax of 50% upon delivery to discourage anyone wanting to cash out, etc...
So i wouldn't bet against the banks, not yet at least. For the moment the best move we can do is continue to profit from the manipulation by continuing to stack for cheap while the price suppression is still a thing.

The "out clause" is already codified in the prospectus for SLV. So what will happen is that you'll get USD or fiat money to make any claims on physical with holding the ETF void and null. Yeah, that does mean the ETF becomes worthless and goes to zero but they will outplay you in any circumstance before you can get puts brought because they alone get to determine when that "emergency" is. When that happens it won't matter for the people running the thing where they can just crash out without repercussions because the lawyer language says so.

https://www.ishares.com/us/literature/prospectus/p-ishares-silver-trust-prospectus-12-31.pdf

>Redemptions may be suspended only (1) during any period in which regular trading on NYSE Arca is suspended or restricted or the exchange is closed(other than scheduled holiday or weekend closings), or (2) during an emergency as a result of which delivery, disposal or evaluation of silver is notreasonably practicable.

And if you actually read the rest of it, there's so much shady shit in that thing that makes it only good for gambling and nothing else. Similar language can be found in GLD too.

Oh right i just highlighted your posts. That sucks fren!
Did you managed to purchase at least a lil something during the (((dip))) last week? Personally i got too greedy and wanted to buy in sub $23... but it never happened and went right back up ;_;
That said i convinced my bro to purchase half a monsterbox right when it went down to $24 and he's really happy about it.

And don't lose hope, there are still 10 days before EOM, i believe we will see others banksters shenanigans in the meantime, maybe even below the last week dip! It wont last so get ready!
