a variable amount are burned every month so it balances out

but yea right now it's a bit inflartionary as more are issued than burned

but the team is looking at how to use the issued donut to add liquidity to uniswap + the issuance can be slashed with a vote at anytime so if supply exceeds 100m then they would probably do this

The burn rate depends on the banner cost + however many memberships are bough. Using just the banner (not factoring in other burn events) for ease of argument: If the banner cost 130,000 DONUT a day then there is no inflation. If it costs more then there is deflation. Recently it cost 100,000 so it was ever so slightly inflationary.

DONUT started life with 100m units. It is now less than that so have proven by and large to be deflationary.

several reasons:
