I think he means Cardano. Once the smart contracts and governance protocol are out (both this year), the project should finally blow up and be essentially better than ETH in every aspect. DEFI projects can transfer and not suffer insane fees.

Cardano painstakingly yet successfully transferred into proof of stake, so the hard part is over. Smart contracts are way easier and are coming this year.

actually the real answer is that you need decentralized time data but not an oracle. Oracles push data on-chain, obviously a blockchain updates too slowly to have accurate pushes of clock data. So it needs to be off-chain but decentralized. No need for LINK.
