Barr going after muh al qaeda bitcoin was a signal of what's to come. Feds currently suck at blockchain prosecutions. The prosecutors don't get it, the judges don't get it, and the Grunts in the DOJ that put the cases together don't get it.

This is all changing. Pretty soon they'll be able to build cases that connect transactions in bitcoin to individuals that can be prosecuted, have their visible assets seized, and otherwise doxxed for being involved in human trafficking and other heinous shit.

When the first takedowns of big, well-known people that have been keeping their very bad activity profits in bitcoin, tens of billions in black money currently in BTC will be scrambling to move to less transparent blockchains.

Also upcoming outlets that perform atomic swaps will make it a lot easier to get privacy coins without kyc.

Atomic swaps are decentralized exchanges that can handle swapping value between different blockchains basically. Think uniswap but instead of only being able to exchange erc20s you can swap bitcoin for monero, or algorand, or literally anything.
