I'm in the process of doing a write up of the next best thing in crypto imo I've seen shilled here maybe twice in the last year and both times it never got more than 40 replies. I found out about through research of Chainlink ironically. I can't mention it yet because I haven't finished accumulating. I'll hold for basically ever like LINK. It has similar tokenomics staking and reduced circulating supply. Also only like 2 other competitors for the data service they are providing and it it solves government compliance issues that will be mandatory soon. Its the next progression of the space assuming tons of data is actually put on the blockchain assuming LINK is successful(It will be). Its low MCAP too around 10 Million. I know none of this helps but if you browse /biz frequently you will know the post when you see it. In less than one month I'll make the thread. I'd be incredibly surprised it doesn't see 100x or more by end of the next bull cycle.

What is an index fund?

An index fund is a fund that can track a specified basket of underlying investments and in this case: BTC, ETH, LINK all balanced with STA.

The rules are that these coins are set in the fund at a specified percent so as one goes up or down the others are automatically bought or sold to balance risk and maximize profit. 1. Increases positive price pressure and decreases volatility - caused by the deflation
2. Gives one token access to the ecosystem, price action of assets its pegged to, and benefits of arbitrage
3. Deflation can be put into any index fund (Balancer pool) or other financial instrument
4. Deflation rewards loyalty, if you get in early when supply is high, as supply goes down assets get more valuable

It came out half way through 2018. The ironically reminds of LINK a bit in the sense they are incredibly anti hype and goal/task oriented. The only problem is the marketing/lead marketer is kind of a dork for lack of a better phrase. They could do better imo, but CEO who is a main developer is on top of his game. It might be sooner than a month 2 weeks. I waiting to see what Chainlink does by the end of the month before I make further moves. Just check back 2-4 weeks. Chainlink is still the best project around but it compliments LINK's data facilitations and will be a necessary component in the next 2-5 years. There's a security layer in LINK's source code that deals with storage ticks. Basically, even in cold storage where they're untouched, there's a cache protocol that will occasionally ping public wallet addresses to verify their contents. Unfortunately, LINK has a slightly different version of this protocol in order to make micro-pings for staking purposes. Most staking rewards are going to be really small transfers, so the LINK devs lowered the tick rate for these pings. However, if you're using a hardware wallet, your storage is operating at the NORMAL tick rate, creating a cache gap where someone can use an SLQ% injection to gain access to your wallet. There's already been many posts of Anons opening up their wallets to find all their tokens transferred out to mysterious addresses, losing tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars.

If you believe Index or Mutual funds are the next evolution of Crypto then Statera is the choice. What does STA do?

Let’s assume that for one day every cryptocurrency in your index fund or pool stays flat except ETH. What would happen?

1. The value of Delta (STA/ETH) will go up and the 50:50 ratio would be out of sync, ETH would need to be sold and STA bought to keep the locked in split. This causes STA to burn

2.The Phoenix fund is 30% ETH and 40% Delta. It would then need to sell both assets and buy wBTC, Link and SNX to keep the predetermined asset weights. So now both Delta and Phoenix are back in balance, but it doesn’t stop here

3.As Phoenix sold Delta there is a negative impact on the price, but the actual quantity of ETH and STA inside of it didn’t change after the point 1. As a result, it would be beneficial to unmint Delta to realise the full value of the underlying assets. This unminting process causes STA to burn. Something like this is generally done by arb bots.

4.But now as some STA has been burnt there is upward price pressure and the inverse of point 1 happens. STA is now sold to buy ETH, causing STA to burn. Initially this may not be significant but as supply decreases the impacts of this will get bigger.

5.Point number 4 means that the value of Delta has changed, which means Phoenix needs to sell Delta and so the cycle goes back to point 2

Its not any of these. I'm not in the Link Marines telegram I just surf /biz all day everyday while I day trade and research breadcrumbs of various projects. I shouldn't say day trade. I monitor my positions/charts and do trend trading in long time frames, at least 3 months but also 6, and 12. Its generally easier to make accurate calls the longer in high time frames. So far since mid January I turned $2400 into about $175,000, about 8 months. I only did made maybe 10 trades but it was mostly adding and subtracting to the same position.

You look at multiple time frames and see if they all say the same thing mostly. Longer time frames hold more weight then shorter. I find assets that clearly are going up in the long term and use shorter time frames to identify when short term tops or bottoms are in. Moving averages but the best indicator is OBV on balance volume. Volume indicators tend to be the most accurate as they are based on present data coming in as opposed to everything else which is lagging and based on past data. 1hr, 2hr, 4hr, 8hr, 12hr, 1D, 3D, 1W, 2W, 1M, and 3M are the time frames I look at when formulating my plans.

The hardest part is knowing when to take profit, but its much easier to know when to buy or add to my position imo. Also its crytpo so even when the indicators are lining up perfect you still get hit with a scam bart candle. Never over extend yourself. I also meditate to avoid acting on emotion and stick to the plan I lay out 100%. I also rarely sell out of a position entirely mostly like 80% because its crypto and speculation can go way beyond normal logic.

I also only trade crypto that have a lot of liquidity. You can make a lot just trading LINK, ETH, and BTC mostly. They have consistent patterns and a decent amount of trade history. They all have a lot of volume which is key because volume is telling in highly liquid assets. Compare volume averages in past price dumps or pumps to get an idea what is typical for what you are trading or what is out of the ordinary

Also the amount of volume at given price points tells how stable that price is. The price often returns to high volume price points. OBV is honestly amazing. 5-10x leverage but use like 10-20% of your portfolio max. Even that is a bit high but its hard to get going when you are using such a small portfolio so I don't mind being a bit riskier as you establish yourself. Once you get like 50-100K you can make sick money on relatively low risk. 10K at 10x is $1000 on a 1% move. When you have additional 90K for excess margin to withstand scam bart candles to liquidate the gamblers its fine. I don't outright buy 10K though I still ease into the position. The main idea is the letting the winners run. Don't trade more than 2 coins imo. Always watch BTC because it dictates the market and pick one other coin and study it real well like the back of your hand. Too many coins is a recipe for disaster unless you are simply buying, averaging down, and holding for real longer term
