Fren, let me help you in understanding the purpose of the STA token.

So what an index fund does is keep assets at a certain ratio (for example, 50/30/10/10). if one of the assets go up that asset will sell off and buy the other asset to keep the ratio intact. So, in practice,The assets are continuously buying and selling... re-calibrating constantly just to keep that ratio.

Ok, so where does the STA token come in? Like why use it in a Index Fund you want to create? yes, any one of you can create your own pool on Balancer.

The STA token basically allows you to capture trading volume within an index fund since the index fund is constantly buying and selling assets to keep its ratio constant. thats why they are calling it "Volume Farming". This is the ONLY token right now that has the ability to do that.

Now this is just the beginning of the ecosystem. There will be more funds to give options to all investors (Exchange Token Fund, Layer 2 Solutions Fund, Social Networking Fund, Lending Fund, etc. ) and obviously more community pools (yes anyone can create a pool and people have been on Balancer). Also, there will be different platforms to create more indexs and more pools. Balancer will not be alone in the future. Now think about that for one second......
