Covid crash and recovery is the biggest bull trap in history. Scholars hundreds of years from now will be researching the golden bull run of the 2010’s that violently burst in 2020. The event that marked the fall of the american empire, some will call it. The Great Depression, as it will be named by others. The 1930s will pale in comparison to the 2020s. Get the fuck ready people.

Are airlines a lost cause? Back in march i was expecting a V shaped recovery thinking the covid stuff would be over in a week or two.
That is not the cause and this crisis has shown just how balanced on the edge most major airlines are, their margins are razor thin and most are operating at a loss and getting into debt, i think it will take years airlines specifically to get back at their pre covid level.

Demographics and debt.
Everyone knows what a disaster for China the 1 child policy was.
China's debt to GDP is about twice that of the US. A lot of that is very poor quality debt that'll have to be dealt with at some point.
People forget that there was talk in the 80's of Japan being an equal superpower to the US and the Yen rivaling the Dollar's position.
The only real reason that China is a problem is because the US is fading in it's own right and becoming unable to lead the other western democracies to present a united front.

if you wanna bet on something battered and hoping for price memory upside bullshit, then buy into REITs.
They may not recover to pre-corona levels instantly either, but they're priced at 2008 levels without the real estate situation actually being at 2008 levels and they don't suffer the same ridiculous cashburn that airliners do (the commercial real estate REIT i picked still has full dividends with a real payout ratio of ~80% in Q2 despite lockdown). I'm not talking about the US though obviously since their real estate situation is definitely more fucked than anywhere else, you should do your own research in the REITs you can buy.

Perhaps. I think that the US is too far gone though.
They didn't overhaul their banking system in the wake of 2007-2009 and the fed is just kicking the can down the road, but the can keeps getting bigger every kick.

>>21395732
I wouldn't phrase it like that, but yeah there's some truth.
I reckon the problem is crippling amounts of government debt.
Plus central banks providing life support to over-indebted governments and zombie companies by keeping debt servicing costs artificially low, which inflates asset bubbles at the same time.
Plus crony capitalism which prevents the efficient allocation of capital. Kodak being the most obvious example of this recently, but I'd label the banks during 2008 as being the most damaging case.
You're right that most western governments are guilty of this, but the US is unique because they can't devalue the dollar as easily because everyone else uses it too (in finance, to buy oil etc.)

The only end I can see is currency debasement and (hyper?)inflation. That would probably mean the end of the US dollar as the global reserve so I really hope there's another way out.

Either way, gold and big cap stocks are the way to go.

Europe is generally worse off than the US.
Also the Euro is a terrible currency that most of the countries using it don't like because they can't devalue their currency to offset inefficiencies.
It only works if there's some internal mechanism for rich countries to directly pay poor countries, and Germany and a bunch of northern European countries hate that idea.
But covid did push them into that direction recently which is good for the stability of the Euro, so who knows maybe we'll see a proper fiscal union that create a real competitor to the dollar. Time will tell if they payments become a regular thing, or this is just an exception.

Knowing of the potential profit the companies that provide the launch for the mining mission will charge billions the profit is potentially in the trillions so that's okay but very few companies will be willing to spend the billions until the first mining company is successful in its mission then they'll be throwing money at the companies that launch the shuttles. If we get a person on mars before the first asteroid mining begins then companies would be way more willing to throw money at it and it will be harder to invest in preparation of. it was 6/10 at best. to her, i'm the best thing that happened to her. but to me, she's someone i met after a hotter girl flaked on me one sat night at 2am.

5mg is nothing to me. i take 120mg minimum. but i am in medical school and this exam determines what tresidency i get into, so even if i should sleep i can't.

you know what the right answer is. keep her, and fuck other people without telling her. well, that is what i am doing but i told my gf that i wanted to break up for over a month now and she tries to coerce me by cutting herself. not only do i feel/nor should i feel any guilt about it, but it's really her fault.

her sister is a model, and liked me from the start. we met after the incident, but we both agreed that she was manipulating me and how wrong it was. we had great sex. no condom. came inside of her. this is something i don't mind if my gf finds out about.

i installed tinder again, and had 126 matches. saw one yday, fucked her obviously. seeing another one today. this is how it is for me normally, but i will make an extra effort to fuck at least one girl (that is not my gf) a night.

i can't go to the bar bc they're all closed bc of covid.

milfs are great, used to love them when i was younger. now it's the opposite. gf i s 20, but i prefer 18 anyway.

i used to model (something gf's sister and i could relate to), and everyone thinks i am 15 years younger than i actually am. i'm 6'1", and took /fit/ seriously in my early 20's and look great. i also have a big dick. this makes the onlyfans account lucrative.

And you could program events depending on what's happening to a stock, like ''help BA obaa-san to recover'', or ''AMD-tan is genki today, let's make her even more happy'', or ''TCEHY-tan is going full Tsun again towards AAPL today, let's calm her tsundere tendencies''.

That's up to you, if you are a slow thinker, like to analyze, are patient and strategic then maybe your route is swing not day trading. If you are looking to preserve a capital (like inheritence etc.) maybe longterm investing with 70% and swing with remaining is your route. You have to find it yourself. Demos and simulators are good to understand how the platform works, thats it, you have play with real money to really understand the psychological side of it. Any stock researcher anons here?

I'm trying to learn to research and I'm looking at Newmont (NEM). It's currently profitable, has low debt, but I'm looking at why their 10Ks show less gold produced and sold by a large margin between this year and last. Is this because of higher gold prices? Isn't demand supposed to be higher? How would I research this? I thought the 10ks would have explainations of why things are?

Lots of mines got shut down due to the lockdowns, thus productivity greatly suffered. Mines aren't a linear business, either. You look for high deposit concentrations in drilling, once you find them you have to dig to get to them, that means staggered or stalled material production since you're just moving top soil. There's also reclaimation, depending on what country you're in and the size of the mine. If they closed a pit last year they have to refill it and terraform it exactingly in the US. That's not necessarily true, though, as they can do due diligence output, or outright delay it up to depletion. And I'm sure whoever oversees that (MSHA, EPA...) isn't trying to hammer down practices during the pandemic.
