You should research how to pay less taxes rather than try to not pay taxes at all

Try buying crypto peer to peer and or via a foreign exchange. After you enter crypto nobody needs to know what you do with your coins.

tax question: i move ETH out of coinbase (trading on uniswapp, etc) then i move more ETH back into my coinbase wallet (after profiting from uniswap trades) to cash out.

will they actually be able to track what happened outside of my coinbase wallet?

yes. have you ever looked at a blockchain explorer? everything is public. they will have to prove the wallet is you but it's not very hard to track where coins go

If they want, yes they can track you. You should use an ethereum launder. Tornado cash I think is the name. The best way to enter crypto is by cash. However I understand its hard in most places to find someone willing to sell. Maybe a safe but inconvenient way to bring cash with you in another country and buy there, maybe using an ATM.

Im gonna have to amend some taxes from a few years ago then. It wasn't until this past tax season they asked about reporting here in the states, so i'm gonna have to compile a bunch of shit.

Yes.

I started a thread on this yesterday. Was going to make it a routine thread about taxes. But no one responded.

The problem is a lot of the deductions are based on income. So if you did good in the markets you can't take a student loan deduction or an ira deduction. Shit ducks. I'm still looking.

Not sure what you are talking about but in 2017 it was clear you had to file crypto gains. Here is mine.

I only used coinbase once and stopped using it. I think there was something about coinbase only tracking you after a certain amount of fiat put in.

> Avoid taxes
I pay all my taxes and am using coinbase tracking software that costs me $60 a year. I also won't use coinbase because the IRS doesn't understand crypto and sends you forms that have nothing to do with what you do off exchange and when you don't match up (even if you pay more) you get flagged.
