Core position is SOXL but I swing trade shares and options in all the stuff in pic related when the opportunity presents itself. I'm a big fan of the leveraged ETFs since there's always some action to be had. Right now I have a big position in KOLD and LABU since they're on a nice dip. QE isn't enough of a catalyst to cause a crash. The Fed gave three trillion dollars taken from tax payers and those who hold USD and gave it to people who own stocks and bonds. They haven't been taking assets off the books so the injection is here to stay. As long as the Fed is willing to subsidize the stock market, what reason do I have to sell? Weak dollar? Debt? The US has been in massive debt for a very long time, if the system ever goes belly up your worry won't be about stocks or money, it will be about not getting eaten by gangs of raiders.

There has to be a consensus on a reason that is good enough to justify mass withdrawal of money from the market. That obviously doesn't exist right now because it hasn't happened. There's no reason to stay out of the market and wait for event that may happen only after the market increased by a lot. I doubt we'll retest the March lows if it does crash again. A few months of this and we may not even retest the current price. Opportunity cost is a bitch.

The Total Market Capitalization of Public U.S. Companies was 35 trillion as of 6/30/2020. 3 trillion wouldn't be enough to move the market 40% even if injected at the bottom in March. It could make the difference between a 80% retracement and pushing all time highs but I don't agree that that's is a common thing that happens during a crash unless you're talking about small drops at the start of the crash, not six months after the fact. We've never seen a recovery like this, mostly because the covid fears were an overreaction so the market quickly shook it off and looked past it.

Most of the money that has flown back in is institutional and retail investors reacting to a number of things but it's not limited to QE. I would have bought the March bottom regardless of that and we would still be up quite a lot as Covid didn't justify a 40% drop and there's nothing that justifies another one, unless you want to question stocks as a whole and their value, that's a bubble that won't pop any time soon.

There are a lot of reasons why you could consider stocks overvalued but no real reason why everyone else would. Money always flows back into stocks regardless of fundamentals because there's no other way to get a high return that is easily accessible, it's a self fulfilling proficiency.

As for the violence, volatility doesn't cocern me. It could crab for a decade after this, it could keeping going up, but it's unlikely to retest the March lows and any other possible drop isn't enough for me to withdraw my investments on the off chance something will happen. I'll buy every god damn dip and only sell if I feel that's what most people want to do, which is what I did in March. You're not unprotected in market, most times you can still sell before a major drop happens.
