And she would also be AWOL for weeks at a time at the height of her campaign, and her numbers would actually go UP when she was totally absent. Why? Because she's inherently unlikable, and the media did a better job of shilling her campaign for her instead. It's the exact same situation here, except instead of the it being "hillary is an unlikable cunt" it'll be "biden is completely senile and has end stage alzheimers". Same end results though.

Normally with VPs you pick someone who's moderate and won't rock the boat because primaries are over and you're more interested in capturing the center.
