If my end goal was always staking I might as well be first in line to try it out with someone who knows what the fuck they’re doing. To each their own brother. I'm looking forward to staking too, but risking $20k for 1 LP that will likely lose value pretty quick once competition is ready is too much for me.

I'm not hating on LP by the way, I would've bought quite a bit, but didn't want to deal with dodging the shitty US laws and finding a work around. I'm just shitting on how fucking expensive it is right now and people buying 1 LP for +$20k are going to be having a bad time in a few months...

Nah I feel that. Well when it came out I didn’t have the capital, and I was accumulating Link. Luckily now it only cost like 1500 Link for a LP share last night and with what I was able to buy through this year that’s only a few % of my stack. Plus I’m running point on some other people’s crypto so I get paid in Link from their portfolios... hoping it works out. Glad I pulled the trigger tho based on this thread, I checked the Dex today and it’s almost impossible to nab a full LP now. I’m hoping that some of the distributions btwn now and into the exclusive part of staking will offset any loss of the token price. But if LP as a node grows and a single LP token is still tied to their fees and revenue share, regardless of stake priority I would think it retains some value.
