So is chainlink and ethereum yet they had some action the last 4 years.
Think about it, new and smart money have been coming to crypto for the last 3 years, why didn't they buy BAT? Clearly they didn't saw anything in the project.

At the end of the day you're just investing on the success of a particular company, not in a decentralised ecosystem looe you would be with btc, or eth, or link.
BAT is a neat project but it doesn't even need crypto to work, having crypto in it adds litteraly nothing
