Pooling is less risk and gives steadier rewards. You could miss some gains if STA is pumping hard though, so most people don't pool their whole stack, they just use it to take profit while still helping Statera grow. The bigger the pool, the better STA works.

The balance pool we use was hacked and $500k worth of our communities coins were stolen. Turns out Balance Labs had been informed of the exploit used and hadn't fixed it, so they agreed to reimburse us. People that had money in the pool will be getting back probably over 200% of what they had in there because everything in the pool has gone up since the exploit. We had to reconfigure Statera to work around the exploit because they haven't fixed it yet
