When looking at 6 months ago it was doing great and is down like 90% and it had a reverse split so I can't see a downside to long term.

Lets assume you are planning to invest and not swing trade. First of all, you can buy both AMD and INTEL,unless you align yourself with meme cults, but ill try to tell you why i hold 30 shares of intc:

-Market is really clowny during the last months so i would be very reluctant to invest in stocks with charts that look like an erect penis (i.e Tsla, AMD after the recent 30% pump etc) especially when there isnt that big of a change in actual value/fundamentals

-Intel has rock solid fundamentals and is just behind on commercial processors which doesnt really sound like such a big of a deal. It wont lead the company to bankruptcy just like NVDA’s success didn’t lead AMD to failure.

-Intel has a huge budget for R&D

-Intel has no reason to trade at the corona-crash price. Even if the AMD was such a threat and covid never existed, do you think you’d see Intel’s price going from 70 to 40 in a single day?

-p/e 10 vs p/e 200 and yes, p/e is a real thing, not a conspiracy.

-intel pays a 3% divvy

Thanks. Im aware of some of these points even though they arent entirely correct. Still i don’t buy into the doomsday scenario that this dip was the last for intel and its just a slow bleed to death from now on, while AMD climbs to 400$. Do what you believe and try not to get to emotionally attached to any stock. As i said, you can buy both AMD at 80 if you think it will go even higher and Intel at 47$ to possibly buy it at a bargain .
