I only have 2400 Link. Things haven't gone great for me since 2017. I didn't sell the top then, and medical bills took care of the rest. Do I sell half at $100 so I don't screw myself again? I know we'll pass $100 eventually, but is it going to be this run? I don't want to wait 3 more years.

Let me look into my crystal ball... No one here knows your life, circumstances, or goals.

>> No.21231658

I sold enough to buy two bitcoins, now I just wait

>> No.21231742

>>21231635
Your crystal ball really sucks bro. Selling at $100 would let me pay off my house and student loans, but I'd have to hold much longer to get anything really meaningful from 1000 Link.

Selling before $100 isn't even an option.

>>21231742
That soubds like your answer. Paying off your house and student loans will largely free you financially. Having to wait longer for the remaining link to be worth a meaningful amount doesn't sound like an issue as you won't be in need of meaningful sums of money. If everything is paid and you're in a position that you could live off of part-time minimum wage if you wanted to then everything above that is gravy.

Why? What is your interest rate?

Thanks for the response.

It's only 5%. That's part of my dilemma. I'm tempted to move half of it into something less volatile than crypto once we hit $100. Paying off the house and student loans is an option because it would give me the ability to DCA into other things without $1300 in payments each month.

I held almost 20k until the end of 2019. Shit happens though. I'm glad to still have what I have.

Holy fuck you are a retard. Refinance your house dipshit. Interest rates are under 3%

>> No.21232986

>only 5%.
Refinance ASAP. Rates are much lower than this right now. We just got quoted 2.625. At that rate, your money is better off in investments than it would be paying down your mortgage.

Go fuck yourself. You're probably the only one who wants to anyways.

The question you need to ask yourself when considering paying down your mortgage is:
>Can I make more of a return in investments with this money than I would lose to mortgage? interest?

I'd take 5% loans to buy more LINK

Depend on stacking, if stacking is there and actually grants good money you will want to hold and live from dividends.

Do you think a big dump is possible before stacking?

>> No.21233290

USD is in an inflationary environment due to CoVid and all the money printing going on to prop the economy up.
If you think about it, taking out a loan to buy LINK is the high IQ play.

That's a good point. However it also pushes me towards the idea that owning my home is something that can't be taken away. Even if it doesn't necessarily give the best ROI. I'm pretty sure even the liberals aren't going to try to take away private homes anytime in the next 50 years.

>> No.21233519

>>21233375
Well there we go then. Your best bet is to refinance to get a lower interest rate and consider shifting LINK profits into your house as diversifying your portfolio.

>> No.21233845

How many times does the 5% compound? Regardless, 5% is too much right now unless you have really bad credit.
