The reason why I sold my XAMPL is because it fails to consider one very potent, important thing. Yes, the price can only crash so far down because of the negative rebase. At first -- I found that to be incredibly bullish.

But after thinking about it and observing the market, I realized something. While it can never crash down too far -- it can never pump very high up. This is because it doesn't have the positive rebase function.

This is a psychological constraint. Allow me to explain. We buy a speculative asset because we know that in the future, the price will go up. Cryptocurrency is mostly speculative asset class.

What happens when there is no mechanism to convince us that price will go up in the future? In your mind, picture a scratch ticket. That scratch ticket will always return you the 2 dollars purchase price or a random number under 2 dollars. Would you buy it?
