Ok /biz/, now that link price has increased dramatically i suddenly fear my linkies will disappear. I've never really considered buying a wallet up until now, my worst nightmare is to suddenly wake up with 0 link on my coinbase account. This raises a few questions:

>Is my link relatively safe on coinbase?

>I use authenticator and have a long ass password, literally how can my link be stolen?

>At the end of the day coinbase is a business and needs to make money. If thousands of costumers lost their coins it would be horrible for their reputation etc. Considering this, why wouldn't i trust coinbase in taking care of my coins when their whole company literally is built around "we're the safest and least shady crypto exchange there is"?

You’d be living through an unprecedented situation in an industry 99% of people and 100% of governments do not understand. If coinbase pulled the rug, the reaction could certainly be “well those aren’t real assets anyway” or “good now you can get a real job”. Do not expect sympathy because people at large will also be insanely jealous of you if you really do make it.
Don’t be a retard and think the world that will hate you will be there to protect you. You have no reason to make the ASSUMPTION (keyword) that you wont be screwed.
Take the 10 minutes to get a wallet and send a portion of your coins there or you deserve to be poor if you’re comfortable with that MAJOR risk
