Bond yields = price of govt debt
Debt is getting more expensive as govt has printed trillions it can never pay back through taxes

Fed needs bond yields to not crash but the only way to do this is to keep printing increasing amounts of money

Printing more money for overpriced bonds gives investors/banks more cash to spend on stocks despite the actual value of the stocks going way down

This is true BUT the assumption is lenders will possess the ability to press the debtor. Consider the US right now with student loans being deferred by EO, an eviction moratorium, and lenders voluntarily modifying loan agreements to waive interest and defer payments. Bottom line: the pain felt by the majority will hamstring lenders from collecting/foreclosing/etc. for fear of political interference even if the lenders could otherwise do so legally.

Also assumes you don't have...exotic...ways to roll over debt and assumes one will actually pay it back at all...

Banks create mone...ahem...currency out of thin air when they issue loan proceeds - using a (((credit card))) in this case to buy PMs.

The play is using such (((currency))) [aka paper fiat] to acquire real assets, such as PMs, one would not have otherwise have been able to acquire.

You go short on the dollar (i.e. you've borrowed USD and owe it back in the future) and long on PMs or a real asset.

The way you win is by the value of the real assets going up in nominal USD at which point you can sell back part of the PMs to pay off the debt you took out to acquire them in the first place. If you're more adventurous you can explore defaulting on the unsecured debt or trying to negotiate a settlement with the lender where you will pay back far less than you originally borrowed.

The issue is how much ALLOCATED metals to gold GLD and SLV have vs (((unallocated))) metals.

They're ways to count physical metal more than once - i.e. multiple parties can legally lay claim to the same bar - and in the case of GLD and SLV, if push comes to shove and authorized participants demand redemption of their shares for the metal, there's a good chance they'll be short.

This is different than Sprott's products which are fully allocated...meaning if Sprott says they have [ x ] ozs of the metal, there's some vault with metal allocated ONLY to Sprott.

BTG is already a considerable part of GDXJ. What I gave you are the standard ETFs for the miners. GDX and SIL are the majors, GDXJ and SILJ are the mid-tiers. They contain about 100 different companies. When you buy them, you de-risk your investment. I think that works. The aluminum foil acts the same way it does in a thermite mix and pulls off the oxygen molecules that create the tarnishing/oxidation. It's not a bad idea to make quick money trading in and out of SLV silver, but they don't actually hold enough silver for the amount of paper silver claims they have. Essentially then, there's a time bomb on SLV that we don't know when will go off. You're taking extra risk with it, but so long as you know this there's nothing wrong with trading it. Physical silver and gold have no counter party risks but come with premiums. However, premiums won't be going away anytime soon until the end of the bull market years down the line. The real price of silver is the spot + premium price.

As for why they're pushing it, it's probably trolling. I have no idea why mods aren't doing anything in the thread called PHYSICAL metals general.
