I have a coworker who will not shut up about crypto, and I can't deny I'm intrigued.
What's the best way to set up a wallet and/or start trading? I keep hearing "Coinbase is a scam", but I'm kind of fuzzy on why that is.

coinbase isnt a scam. If you plan on transacting small amounts (less than 20 grand, but in some states its a much smaller amount) then open a coinbase account and buy as much link as you can stomach.

Coinbase rapes you with fees and I heard transferring money in or out is a pain. KYC is also involved. Get some ETH from an another exchange and start trading shitcoins on uniswap. You can also hodl link if you want. It's kinda late though.
