Clorox is up 52% YTD and trading at a 32 PE and they're a one trick pony with generic competition. On the commercial side of things they don't compete with janitorial suppliers, commercial is going to chose bulk generic for wipes.

Things were already moving to streaming platforms between Amazon Video, Netflix, Hulu, etc. And it isn't like studios enjoyed dealing with the theater conglomerates. The fact that Disney has taken the most tentative step to putting new releases on their own streaming platform (Mulan) just accelerates this.
Theaters are rather dirty, overly conditioned, and overpriced viewing experiences that you can't control or pause. I think that industry is now entirely novelty instead of mainstream. People want movies. They may probably not want them in theaters if they can just choose from any of a dozen streaming services.

SMG, is there any reason I shouldn't pump every spare dollar into appreciating assets once I've paid my bills, put away a little money for a vacation or fun, and already have enough emergency money for 5 months of being unemployed? I have just turned 30 and the idea of working for another 20 years sounds like hell. If not for having a gf, I would literally live in a self made shack in the woods, bought on cheap land, just to not pay rent and pump it into assets. It’s a $150 two-seater from Walmart. It’s remarkably good for what I paid but the cushion has worn most of the way down in a year. Going to get something for closer to $500 this time that will hopefully last five or so years.

Bro I feel you, women simply do not invest with money. They buy silly trinkets. I work for a finance company and when we pull the demographic data for our audience the data literally says 99% men. Women don't invest money. They invest socially (choosing a mate, friends, etc). Take advantage of that. My gf is much better at socializing and I've gotten a few side gigs that way through friends of her friends. If she is like my gf, you can probably get her to invest in your own home and even a second house to rent. But 99% of the time women can't into investing into something they can't lay hands on. Buy her gold jewelry, because then at least when she is bored of it, it has some value. But they will always want that worthless diamond ring for 10k dollars, which could be sitting in your trading account collecting 150 bucks a week in covered calls.

Hang around Habitat for Humanity's ReStore's in your area. They often get very nice furniture and sell it for 10-20% of its original retail price. That's where I pick up all my furniture. Kids/grandkids who don't give a shit/are too rich to give a shit often dump their old dead relatives' extremely nice shit there.

i'm checking out this terminal and it has level 2+dark trades shown in order book and trades history in real time, but the coolest feature i find is it lets you click to buy and sell right on the order book effortlessly. like i can click to buy 1000 shares for a price and it immediately buys or sells. so no fiddling with typing shit and you can get in on pumps and get out really quick. but it costs $500 a month.. worth it?
