This. Reddit is ok for picking up a starter understanding of certain things but beyond that it’s highly sanitized, low hanging fruit discussion by nature of its format. Good ideas are usually controversial at first, and controversy is hidden on reddit. I’ve been dabbling in crypto since 2017 and you get better at spotting the good from the bad. Never buy into a coin that’s heavily pumped on the day, no coin goes up in a straight line as there’s always days of red no matter the project. Look into coins that only have 1-2 threads on /biz with few replies at first, once there’s mass shilling it’s likely already ogre, at least temporarily. Going with the current trends and buying into a lot of defi/oracle projects helped me greatly this run. As always DYOR.
