Some anon said chainlink token is just a json parser - I'm not a coder so I don't know what that means.
My understanding is that chainlink is used to bring off-chain data into a Blockchain. Where is chainlink getting this data?
If chainlink doesn't have exclusive access to this data what's stopping a company from ordering in-house developers from coding something similar to get the same data? or out-sourcing development to India if company is smaller without in-house developers?
If the chainlink token is required and will cost $1000 does the token give unlimited access to this off-chain data?

Why do companies use Microsoft Word instead of developing their own in-house word processors? Furthermore, the point of LINK is that it is a decentralized oracle network (read: not controlled by one entity/company). Smart contracts are not secure if you rely on a centralized or in-house single oracle.

Basically buy LINK and don't waste money on gay scams like OP's group leeching off things with real value.
