Honestly, any single metal focused company I've found other than gold/silver miners seems to be an exploration stage PnD. Looking at the top rare earth exporters list, Australia is probably your best bet for finding an actual money-generating company but depends on your broker.

Actually, when looking for info on this, the only US based producer, MP materials, announced in July that they'll be taken public by some SPAC (looks like "FVAC" is the SPAC's ticker). I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole until the acquisition is completed, personally, but it's an option that would at least in theory give you a share in an operating mine at the end.

Uranium got a pretty decent pump during the third week of June and has gradually crabbed back down from there. There isn't much to be excited about in the nuclear realm right now. BWXT is super solid, but the growth is painfully slow. Entergy and Southern aren't going anywhere, and in Southern's case the nuclear is actively hemorrhaging money.

What you need to keep an eye on is how the Nuclear Regulatory Commission decides to handle the modular reactor movement. Right now there is a battle between those who say regulations need to be relaxed in light of modern, modular technology; and those who say we should play it safe as the modular stuff is unproven. I recently read a news article where the NRC was considering arguments for the reduction of containment boundaries in light of the reactors being smaller. This is merely a small slice of a small slice of a tiny piece of the regulation pie they still have to go through. There are exciting companies making exciting reactor designs with a lot of promise, but the payoff is years down the road.

TL;DR: Nuclear future is exciting, but extremely uncertain. Check back in 5-8 years.

Reasons may be different, but the effect is largely the same. all a call contract does is expose you to the upside of a stock, while minimizing the loss the cost of premium. Buffett and the likes aren't obligated to report their options positions quarterly but i'd have serious doubts if someone were to say these people don't use all the tools available to a more sophisticated investor. Covered calls, dividend capture through leap calls, or arbitraging calls before dividend expiration dates all can generate serious income, all the while limiting both upside and down, but almost guaranteeing success. All that said, ill agree they likely aren't purchasing buys and puts based on wild speculation
