so excited for the caps being lifted, I do not understand though why its not constantly talked about on /Biz considering you can get returns from LINK/BNT, why is that not a central discussion or am I missing something from the LINK team to do their own staking?

/biz/ literally just doesn't know yet, but they will in the future. Staking is supposed to come out in the following months according to Sergey, that may be why people aren't paying that much attention to liquidity provision on Bancor

Depends what making it means to you but you will make some good money. Start providing liquidity on Bancor V2 when you can. Don't use your entire stack at first, wait until V2 has been battle-tested.

Well we do have a daily thread where most of us talk. There was a great one yesterday titled with "You didn't fall for the FUD did you anona?". Its the same shtick as people talking about hwo big DeFi is gonna be back in Q3/Q4 2019. If I was to do a 3 pointer on it, its as simple as

- single asset exposure
- token treasury holders & instituions staking to beat inflation by the generation of passive fees
- Use of the LP token (e.g BNT-LINK) as collateral on Aave and other Defi lending platforms.

With those huge treasury holders/ whales, that massive liqudiity = massive volume = massive fees = massive APR. The absolute fucking zenith of all this though is that the value of BNT has ot be equal to the value of the tokens in that pool. For each individual pool. It is absolutely fucking insane.

There's no sitting on the fence here. Either you do know, and you're in, or you've labelled it as another DeFi coin and skimmed over it. If you're a linkie, the fact that Sergey himself psoted an indepth use case about the importance of Bancor, and only Bancor, should tell you everything.

?. Explain why BNT must equal value of all tokens in liquidity pool?

Liquidity pools have to be balanced, so the price of BNT has to rise to provide equivalent collateral to the liquidity on the other side of every pool.

>> No.21054387

>>21053892
why yes i did fall for the fud and sold my stack at 1.30 how’d you guess
it feels so uncofmortable to buy back in at twice the price but i know bnt will go much higher
fuck

>> No.21054415

>>21054360
This isn’t necessarily true as the collateral can be equivalent by way of increasing the number of BNT tokens in the pool as opposed to the price of those tokens.

I’m bullish on BNT but I don’t agree with that

>> No.21054556

>>21054415
There's a fixed supply beyond inflation which is only for staking rewards.
How do you "increase the number of BNT tokens in the pool" when they're all released, all staked in pools, and the other side of the pairs are continuing to have more value deposited?

>> No.21054568

>>21054415

This is what I was implying. The inflation of BNT via trading fees incentivises people to add their rewarded BNT to the liquidity pool. I meant it as terms of a gurantee of matching collateral value in the opposing token of that pool, not that BNT has to go to 15k per token to keep everything equal lol.

>> No.21054751

Agree with both points. Initially, people will stake more BNT tokens. Once circulating supply becomes a constraint, then the BNT token price will appreciate.

Unfortunately I’m all in link and don’t have spare capital to deploy into BNT. Link will outperform BNT in the bull run, BNT will outperform Link in the short-term. I think the risks of a vulnerability being exploited are low but can’t risk my link.

>Unfortunately I’m all in link
Use aave fren, that's what I've been doing for these past few months. Deposit LINK into Aave, borrow a stablecoin, use stable coin to buy BNT, BNT price goes up, pay off Aave loan, voila, you've got free BNT.
