How did you do it? Share your story and teach biz the dos and donts.

Did you day trade or hodled?
Did you do it through one coin or 20 coins? Which coins made it for you?
How many years did it take you to get to + $1,000,000?
What was your starting capital?
What was your edge that helped you make it? Was it your sixth sense or education or biz shills or some insider info?
Is life better now?
What do you do with your wealth?

I cashed out when I had a million. Should have had more. Now I'm still holding some syscoin, chainlink and btc because nothing replaces the dopamine hits of gambling like a degenerate.

The moment I came in contact with Bitcoin and I actually understood the technology and the potential I stopped smoking cigarets, drinking alcohol, going to the club, buying expensive clothes, going on vacations, ordering out food and cancelled every monthly subscription that I could save money on. So no more TV, low cost phone subscription etc etc.
I started selling stuff in the house that was a luxury or I didn't use often like television, playstation, jewellery etc etc.
Cut off all contact with family and friends and put all spare time and energy in Bitcoin and the crypto scene, started to learn more about economics, no more fast food so spend time cooking my diner my self, took a subscription to the library and started reading a shitload related to economics and finance and was in the gym every day for at least an hour and started doing meditation after waking up and before going to sleep.
This started all in 2011 and this took me til 2017 and now I am set for life, took a lot of energy, time and sacrifice but it was all worth it.

As someone who is retired early, this is not ENTIRELY true. You do get bored fairly easily sitting at home all day doing nothing after a few weeks, but you don't HAVE to work if you don't want to. I spend my time maintaining my homestead and pursuing hobbies I didn't have time for (I'm learning to draw and code, I'd like to make a video game at some point but right now I'm just content learning something creative).

Yes. From what we hear, XRP needs to be 4 figures to work well with the bank transfers. You have to remember that SWIFT is transferring trillions per day, XRP could do that in a couple of minutes. It has to be some ridiculous amount. I'm not going to stop buying until it's 100 bucks per xrp.

How does one prove that anyway? XRP is the biggest open secret in the financial sector, I'm sure there are others that work in the field that can back up what I say.

In the end I care about making money, I don't care about crypto or XRP in particular.

i failed high school because i skipped class to play video games and smoke weed. my time was split between video game forums and i used to really like to argue. i got my shit pushed in on the regular but through that i was able to obtain sound reasoning principles and use them to figure out who is right and who is wrong. i'm not very smart myself, but i am good at figuring out who is and who i should listen to. i just followed the advice of people i thought were smart and it paid off.

From late 2013 to Jan 2016 I had been working overtime and spending all my extra money on BTC. I had accumulated 16 BTC.

I had heard Ethereum mentioned as a new hot thing quite a bit on the Bitcoin Forum during those years, but I never looked into it. Jump to January 2016 and I hear about a big announcement for Ethereum (I think it was the Microsoft one). I spend the next hour or so reading about Ethereum and watching vids, and it was hearing Vitalik speak that sealed the deal for me. I quickly jump on Kraken and sell all my BTC for 2736 ETH at $2.30/ETH. This was the trade of my lifetime. Took me from rags to riches.

I can't really give much advice except to stay up to date on the latest tech, have an understanding of how they work and what their potential is, and don't be afraid to make bold moves with your expendable net worth if you're relatively young and the tech is truly groundbreaking.

Both my investment into BTC and then into ETH were not run-of-the-mill investments. They were both paradigm-shifting technologies. I wouldn't have put almost all my net worth into them if they weren't.

And I sold a car, and started trading cryptocurrency, it was 2000 thousand dollars. I knew perfectly well what would grow and to what amount, I predicted many cryptocurrencies to the nearest cent. But I never made a fortune, because I couldn't afford to just smoke and leave it alone. I had to trade daily, and get a small income. When the crash occurred, I lost everything, and in the end the small balance was taken from me by the Poloniex exchange. Sold my car is all that I had. Now I am trading 30 dollars, and I can't afford to trade for a large amount. My return is 20-50 percent per month. I also resell new electronics through ads and it gives me $ 100. This is my life. And I also know which token will grow more than 100 percent in less than half a year.

Hmm. Tell me more. Im a truck driver so I have double whammy of sedentary job and absolute shit food options at truck stops. I thought protein shakes make you fat if youre not heavy lifting when you drink them. I usually have a few hours after every shift to do stuff but im usually so jetlagged and tired as shit I dont feel like a heavy workout. But its a death spiral cuz ive gained a shit ton of weight which makes me even more fatigued. But im determined to climb outta this, hence the pedal bike. Small enough to fit on the truck and give me a decent workout. Any tips def welcome.

Isn't it funny how we all do this?

I bot LINK about 3 years ago, and with it just recently hitting new ATHs I almost slipped up and told my family about it. However, I'm just like, fuck it. They don't want to hear about it and they're just going to tell me to sell anyway.

Started mining in the middle of 2017, started with Dash, then BTC. Sold the miners at the peak and netted an extra 30k on top of the few BTC mined. Dumped the dash at 800+ Started diversifying on the downswing. Bought eth at 300 and sold at 900. In 2018 went hard into link at .30-.40 and held ever since. After that scrounged up more capital to keep buying dips. Started mining ZEC in 2019, flipped a few pumps like 0x and XRP and just kept accumulating. Now 95% of my chadfolio is link, btc, and eth in that order and 5% in coins that may moon like BAT, XRP, ZEC, VET, and HOT.

Some of it was luck with timing and having cash on hand when crypto cratered but I never gambled on shitcoins. Made mistakes here and there but kept focused on the big picture and kept iron hands with Link.

ha I literally bought maybe 3 months after you. I remember being so pissed and worried that it would dump (when link was like... 50-75 cents). Now its just kinda silly.

This actually reminds me, I had money on Bovada Poker that somehow got switched to BTC. Ended up with like 1BTC that I unknowingly held from like 2012-2017. That was kinda cool

This. Literally what I said earlier in this thread.
I cringe when I see young people stacking BTC, why even get into crypto if you’re afraid of risks?

Get into their official chat early (presale or pre-presale early) and talk to the developer, if you know your way around the project and the market it's fairly straightforward to at least become a community moderator.

Pick a low cap shitcoin fresh off Coingecko. Do some research and see if it seems at all legit. If so, put the $50 in and wait until it doubles or triples.
