Answer me this XRP schizophrenics. If you really think that XRP is going to be worth an incredibly high dollar amount then what do you call the subset of that single unit? The single unit of XRP? I think this is an ironically kind of a huge problem for adoption. when you go in and you buy a potato from a grocery store they don't tell you okay sir that will be some decimal or percentage of 1, 000 dollar amount. We have pennies and nickels and whatever else those other countries have. There's no naming scheme for XRP no one wants to be told that their potato costs 0.000002 XRP

Literally the first time I've heard of drops but this is the answer I was looking for. I still have no idea in hell how you would actually change the naming scheme inside of a grocery store. If someone walks into Walmart and the person that you register tells them that they're amount will be x amount of drops they would lose their fucking mind

It literally doesn't matter what the fuck you call the smallest divisible unit, that has nothing to do with the success of the project. What the fuck are you smoking.

If all 50 billion of the available XRP supply were all worth $2000/per, that would put the XRP market cap at 100 TRILLION LOL

Based as in there's no way that will ever happen and the project is going to fail. The point here is that it was never intended for people to use incredibly small fractions of this unit. Even the people making this quote currency never intended for the price to be that high. And I think it shows by just thinking about how you really can't even name fractional amounts of it besides something like drops. For it to be chilled so much on a underwater basket weaving forum this particular XRP conspiracy theory doesn't seem to hold any water on its own.

to repeat myself it doesn't look like anyone who ever worked in the history of this project planned on XRP being worth thousands of dollars.

Absolutely, if any of them were smart then they would probably be trying to tell me that you could create a XRP backed $1 stable coin in the name at whatever you wanted to to spur adoption. kind of like the same way you can make an ERC20 token on the ethereum network there has to be a similar way to do that kind of operation on RippleNet. if that actually is what RippleNet is for or capable of doing but it doesn't seem like anyone here is doing that kind of research. also I guess if they were smart then you could also just create a sort of entity or quasi-bank that could enforce or issue that stable currency on XRPs behalf, ...

I was way more interested in Jeb selling 2 million of his stash every single day to worry about what something was called. I was just hoping that some of you would finally see the light. you think you're going to walk into a store and pay for something with drops? You think any of this is ever going to work when you try to tell your 60-year-old grandma that the dollar is gone and now she has to pay with ripple drops? You start thinking critically about a lot of this you might be able to finally realize that there is no real future here. Much can be said for all of cryptocurrency. Nothing is going to get replaced. And that's why I call you schizophrenics. Because anyone who has a net worth of over $100,000 has absolutely zero interest and something coming along and replacing that. But please keep buying I need to sell my bags before this entire thing collapses so I can make a couple more dollars.

I think that all the world's currencies will be replaced with central bank issued digital currencies i.e $digital, £digital, ¥digital, €digital. Your grandma will have to get used to paying for items with her phone or a card instead of cash.
XRP will be used for interbank transfers and trusted movement of other financial instruments, it will not be a currency as that is not it's design.

>broke retard failing out of college
>hated by parents but still live with them, running out of friends to mooch off of due to acting like a faggot all the time
>only worldly possession is his beat up car, and he lives an hour away from campus so he really needs it
>it doesn't really work but is fixable and has a market value of 3.5k
>he hears that due to some meeting XRP is going to go up 500x on Monday
>tries to sell his shitbox car ASAP to get money to invest (again, poorfag who would have trouble spending $10 normally)
>only offer that weekend is for $1500 but he is so desperate not to miss out so instead of waiting or even haggling for a better price he instantly sells it and immediately puts his money in ripple at just over 50 cents a piece

Do I need to tell you what happened that monday?

It's not insider knowledge that the central banks are developing digital currencies, it's public record.

I think the schedule for implementing these digital currencies has been accelerated due to the major events of 2020:
Covid-19 means cash is a potential transmission vector for the virus.
The quantitive easing on an unprecedented level.
Hyperinflation of numerous currencies.
So on.

Yep. How else could they fall so hard for the 'free money' bait? Even linkies generally are joking when they talk about getting 100x returns by the end of the year, XRP mongoloids actually think that every tech meeting will reveal a magical secret that makes everyone pick their fun tokens over all the others that also claim to have magical secrets.

If you put any serious stock in rumors and technology developments instead of making your main decision factor market trends you are a moron.

As for your concern about how a changeover to a digital currency could occur I think there would be a transition period but it would go smoothly.

My parents experienced the change from "old money" which was £punt made up of shillings and other denominations to "new money" £punt that used penny and pound denominations (£punts being Irish pounds)
I have experienced the change from £punt to €euro.
