I think it's an interesting concept and certainly has potential, but I aspects of the fundamentals questionable. Mainly, the entire idea of a jury only works as a jury if there's no reward or penalty for your vote. Imagine in real life if, as a juror, your decision of guilty/not-guilty was penalized if you "decided wrongly" (ie, didn't agree with the majority). This would create a meta-game scenario where you don't vote based on the data and what you think is true, but instead based on what you assume everyone else will do. Not exactly ideal; is there something I'm missing?

The tl; dr is that the only info you can assume about the jury members is that they will vote the right choice. Because it's the most likely outcome. So if you try to game the system, then you're gonna get burned eventually if you try to read emotions vs facts. And generally you don't sign up for courts you know you don't have the expertise to solve. So the noise from shit for brains basically smoothes out. They've done some interesting talks on it as well I'm sure you can find on YouTube
