Guys I need advice.

My country is engaging in ultimate faggotry when it comes taxation.

I wanted to invest in junior miner ETFs but SILJ is not even approved for EU markets and GDXJ is a foreign ETF and is taxed at 42% capital gains tax. What the fuck bros?? How can they cuck me this much?

Is it even worth investing in miners when I have to pay 42% tax on my gains every year?

I can create a special account that only taxes me 17% on stocks, but I can't hold ETFs in that.

What should I do?

Ty that is good advice. I already have a pretty good physical stack and wanted to bring the miners in to really leverage my gains when metals take off.

I could buy individual juniors with the decent% tax rate, but the problem is that I would be gambling at this point. I really am not knowledgeable enough to know how to place my money in each stonk, and while these suggestions might be very fine choices, I might get totally assblasted if I just buy these at random.

I know this is a meme but GDXJ.L is a paper shell company holding shares in another paper shell company GDXJ holding paper shares of "miners" who are in fact riddled with "take or pay" derivatives with refiners, mints, governments and financial operatives. These take or pay contracts mean that the miners must deliver silver and gold at set prices far below the benchmark GLD and SLV standards . If they cant they must pay or they will be taken by COMEX. What happens as this force majuere unwinding rolls up the food chain. And what happens when there is nothing left but IOUs? What the the value of a paper paper shell company with no assets except demand notices valued as scrap paper after delisting?

The fact that people treat silver as the go-to safe asset when banks are teetering is heavy with historical irony. Silver money was once the symbol of monetary irresponsibility. But even as individuals have taken recent crises as reasons to stock up on silver coins and medallions, authorities would do well to consider the arguments for phasing out their use as another “barbarous relic”, the moniker Keynes gave to chattel slavery.

Already, by far the largest amount of money exists and is transacted in paper form — as bank deposits and central bank reserves. But even a little physical silver can cause a lot of damage to the economic system.

The existence of rounds — a bearer instrument with a zero interest rate — limits central banks’ ability to stimulate a depressed economy. The worry is that people will change their deposits for rounds if a central bank moves rates into negative territory. The Swiss, Danish and Swedish central banks, in a demographic culture of collapse, have pushed rates lower than many thought possible; but most policymakers still believe in an “effective” lower band not far below zero.

If monetary demand stays elevated, new supply of gold and silver does not matter. The total annual supply of silver is ~1 billion troy ounces (which includes recycling and idk how much of that is bullion being turned into new bullion) and the increase in annual gold supply is negligible. A couple months ago all the fine silver in the world was worth ~$100 billion, which is jack shit in international monetary terms. If people permanently store more silver (which they will) the price will double in a couple years at least.

On a serious note (I'm not the troll) the free silver movement in the US was a move to massively subsidize silver miners and holders as the US increasingly moved to gold only money. My point is this
You have 10,000 ounces of silver. It is revealed that its a shell game. There is no metal. What is your first reaction? You sell. Silver crashes hard. Silver could trade down to 0.01. Same goes for the Gold. You find out there is no metal. You have 1000 ounces. First reaction? Sell. Sell it all. This applies to every product. You could have misleading price action where gold or silver or even artisanal lavender beeswax trades down to $1 for the simple fact that its worthless. >To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to appreciate the central banking system. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of historical irony most of the jokes will go over a typical silver stackers head. There's also Silver stackers's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into them treating silver as a go to safe asset- their philosophy damages heavily the economic system for instance. The central bank fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of central bank reserves to realise that even a little physical silver can cause a lot of damage to the economic system. As a consequence people who dislike the central bank truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Keynes existential catchphrase "barbarous relics" which itself is a cryptic reference to silver money representing epic monetary irresponsibility. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons changing their deposits for rounds as the central banks move into negative territory. What fools.. how I pity them. And yes, by the way, I DO have a Central Bank tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE:GOLD)(TSX:ABX) today welcomed the launch of the Global Industry Standard on Management (GISOM), developed through a year-and-a-half long review process involving the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and the International Council on Mining and Minerals (ICMM).

Group sustainability executive Grant Beringer said Barrick fully endorsed the principles embodied in GISOM the new standard as it had long been committed to ensuring that its tail facilities meet global best practice standards for safety.

"We put safety at the centre of our tail management and it determines how we manage these facilities from location and design to operation and safe closure. Our facilities are meticulously engineered and regularly inspected, with special attention given to those in regions with high rainfall or seismic activity," he said.

"Our tail and anti leaching management standard comprises six levels of inspection and surety. These range from high-tech monitoring technology, including piezometers, inclinometers, drone and satellite surveys, to movement detection and drainage measurement. Internal specialists conduct regular assurance audits and our tailings management is also reviewed by an independent tail review committee composed of internationally recognized experts in this field."

SLV is subsidized, the gov. (ie. tax payers) are paying the $3 difference on behalf of the producer, the miner still gets shafted regardless.

The difference between spot and SLV is that the actual bullion market deals exclusively in LGD bars that are 400ozt for gold and 1000ozt for silver, you cannot sell or buy anything else in the bullion market, coins and small bars start off as LGD bars from the market that get broken down into smaller quantities hence the added cost, add to this a halt on production and refining thanks to coof19 and you have high premiums on SLV on top of already high premiums on junk metal just from dealing in small quantities that dont trade in the real bullion market (SLV and GLD)

I go for SLV due to anti counterfeiting technologies - its basically like armored paper - plus vaguely acceptable frictionless trading which avoids taxes, PSLV if they're cheap to NAV to round out my purchase and I'm willing to suffer Shady Sprotts non allocated warehouse contamination and decay, petty shit for my magpie brain I heartily acknowledge. I'll buy more if it's on sale or fits my little 5 figure manpurse. SLV rounds are nice too, but I'm staying away at this price. Collectibility doesnt matter above $10 USD per SLV ounce it seems. Cheerio!

Nice anon. I convinced my dad to buy 10,000oz silver and 100oz gold. It took a long time and finally he caved. This was in March and it’s supposedly in two vaults in Britain and Switzerland (hope its not a scam). But the old man was one stubborn mule and even today I tell him to keep holding and he just wants to sell. He listens more to me now on silver to the point he also now knows it’s the kikes. It’s a good feel and I’m glad to have that in the win pile.

Total production of silver coins is about the same as last year and the year isn't out yet. Stick that in your peepee hole and smoke it. There is probably a lot more willing buyers than what is being produced and I suspect that if premiums were 'normal' and supply was 'healthy' (i.e. more than normal) there would be a lot less interest.

No one cares about miners. Ever. Not once in the history of man did Joe Twoshoes stop in the middle of the road and think, 'I hope the miners are doing well.'

It can. But it actually takes longer than you might think, plus by the time it does it’s more than offset by the numismatic premium.

Rule of thumb is silver coins from the 1950s and before are starting to get grey but still look shiny-ish, coins from before the turn of the 20th century are no longer brilliant but almost universally at least sought after because of their age. Coins from before around 1800 are starting to turn very dark but are very desired, coins from before 1700 are usually totally discolored and worn down too, but it doesn’t matter.

tl;dr yes, but not in any timeframe you need worry about. Unless you positively abuse your coins, they should at least keep if not gain in value over time.

for PM to fall the economy would have recovered with a new currency that's gaining trust, something people will give up gold for.

We are 'smart money' in the sense that once new paradigm is hit, it'll plateau at that price for a long time.

actually being one of the few profitable industries left during a depression would likely cause it to soar even more.

Worst case scenario is nationalization, but if we are at the point where north America is doing that, civil war/open rebellion is likely in the cards and money wont be the biggest issue we face.

Gold climbs higher due to money printing by all Central Banks. The DXY is Dollar relative to other currencies. Basically the premise is dollar demand is high in terms of other currencies, but gold demand is higher for all currencies due to everyone printing into oblivion.

I'm not well read on the dollar milkshake, but money is just the means of storing value and transmitting value. In aggregate, we've got MV = PQ. With Q down by at least 10% - 25% (based on production change based on GDP report) , and M increasing, either V has to somehow keep falling or P is going up (inflation). My bets are going to be on P.

The first QE was what led to the PM spike - you see its rise in late 2009 while the stock market crash was earlier. PM price settled after people saw the injection didn't lead to out-of-control inflation. In 2012 the dollar wasn't debased to the current extent.

The monetary crisis is more impactful than the financial crisis. We are experiencing both, and they are both influential in the price.

Totally flawed. Companies internationally are going to be dumping their dollar denominated assets until they are nearly no more. All BJ focuses on is Swap Lines. He's too tunnel vision focused on this one factor that is not taking into consideration the geopolitical climate among many other factors.
