I don't think even Mexico would nationalize the mines on their soil either, its a similar problem to Canada, large chunks of their economy are entrenched with mining and its satellite industries, nationalization would ruin any chances of new investment in that field and would likely result in a brain drain within those industries as well. I believe that SLV and GLD are going 10-20x by the time this bull market is over, so I'd advise simply buying them if the premiums are too much for physical. Physical is simply to add even more leverage, along with increased risk, and try to extract 50x or 100x gains. 2020 ASE, for example, may well go 50x, as Sprott says, but I don't think that maples or even philharmonics could go 50x. I only put 1-3% of my net-worth into any one coin, as Don Durrett recommends.

Silver is still hard to get a hold of in size. Lots of pre-order and paper offers about on volumes. Coins are insanely priced. Production is still going on and sales volume of coins are down. Gold has a similar problem with coins but you can buy as much non coin gold as you want. Lots of silver is by product of base metal mining... so it's a waste product. Now with the economy not needing all that and China (and a few other countries) having stock of about 10 years of copper et. al. metal - you can see the long term implication of silver production.

I think that much of the buying in silver futures of late (maybe as much as 10%) are entities buying with the full intention of taking delivery. Its the best deal on physical you can find these days if you have the liquidity.
