Link isnt the only oracle provider that will be adopted, though its probably going to be the largest. the industry will make use of several oracle providers as it gives an extra level of security for contracts securing billions.
Be careful to read the whitepaper though, as there are a lot of gimmicky oracle providers out there

I wanted to hop on the Chainlink train but I had nothing to invest. Now I wish I had begged a bunch of people to lend me money or figured out a way to take out a loan or something. Fuck me, I can't believe I missed out on something like this in my adult life.
