Is there any real reason not to just sell every time you get some sizeable returns and then buy back in during the next dip? It seems simple enough but I only ever hear people talking about crazy shit like leveraging.

It's a great idea until ETH jumps from 240 to 350 in a couple days and you're stuck on the sidelines.

how did I never think of this. Brilliant

It depends on how much you believe in the investment. I've gotten burned many times not selling ATH and watching it -300% the next day and crab for months

>sell
>it doesn't dip ever again
or
>FOMO in at the top after sitting around nervously waiting for the dip
>dips right after you buy back

yeah. op is a fucking genius. all you gotta do is just know when it’s gonna stop dipping and go up.

I use leverage to swing, and it works pretty well. Meaning I keep 1x leverage by default, then buy dips and sell pumps with further 0.5x-1x leverage and stop losses that should only get triggered with an apocalypse scenario.

Yeah that's why you don't look at live charts, you just set limit orders and let them do what they may. Statistically every price point is likely going to be crossed many different times so you're expected to make money from swinging on average.

if you have a general understanding of the market this shouldn't be too hard unless it's actually on an eternal dead cat bounce cycle. If it's actually going up on average then you can pretty well count on it bouncing back during a dip.

>eth maxi for 3 years
>trough dips and highs
>look who much money or eth I'd have had if I traded the ups and downs
>finally decide to actively trade it
>sold at 200 because we are obviulsy is a pandemic so it can't go up right?
>piece of shit fucking moons to 250
>decide to get in because second wave was a meme into alts
>eth moons to 400 and I lose half of my eth value

Seems like holding isn't a meme after all

Don’t care about your stupid topic but Tomomi Motozawa is top tier waifu and I wish she did escorting because I live in Japan and would like very much to fuck her.
But I don’t care that much because I fuck different japanese bitches every week as part of my white privileges.
It would be like a millionaire caring about a stain on his shirt. Nonsense.
I’m happy. I’d just be happier with Miss Motozawa in my bed.
