is there a rational reason to actually get a swipe card now?

crypto.com has 5 card tiers. here's roughly how much btc worth of tokens you need to stake to get each one:

0 btc - 1% cashback
0.02 btc - 2% cashback
0.2btc - 3% cashback
2 btc - 4% cashback
20 btc - 5% cashback

swipe has 2 card tiers
0 btc - 1% cashback
5 btc - 4% cashback

beside this, crypto.com gives a ton of benefits absent from swipe, that can add up to hundreds of dollars extra value depending on your tier and whether you actually make use of them. swipe offers nothing of value beside the cashback feature that crypto.com doesn't also offer.
swipe is only available in europe, while crypto.com is available in the us, europe, asia, australia, and have just got approved to start operations in canada.

swipe could become attractive to a subset of the userbase if MCO token value goes up over 250% from here, or if swipe token value falls over 60%, but i don't see why anyone who actually needs and wants to use a crypto card should choose swipe over crypto.com at current prices.

no, no one actually wants to use the product, they're just trying to advertise it cause they bought the ponzi token and it's currently at a much lower market cap than crypto.com and they think it'll be the same soon

The point of SXP August update is to make swipe more competitive.

First, they have added staking with a 12% return. This can't be matched by CRO.

Second, they will be adding additional rewards. They have partnered with a bunch of companies and will be rolling out rewards EVERY WEEK.

Third, SXP is kinda in Europe. I still haven't received my card and I have been waiting for two months. It took swipe 3 days to deliver my card. Swipe has already opened a company in US and will be issuing card in the upcoming months.

> this can’t be matched by CRO
Wrong

Swipe looks like it will be a valid competitor but it has to offer more perks. LoungeKey would be nice, for example

I just staked my CRO in a flexible plan for 12% you’re a fucking moron. SXP is dead on arrival, the rewards for CRO with merchants are already extremely competitive.

Aside from 12%, you'll also earn processing fees with SXP. And SXP is deflationary.

Binance just acquired it, it'll have way more benefits than CRO, just wait a couple of months.

And aside from that Wirecard, stay away from that shit.

It should also be noted that with swipe you don't need to be constantly staking to receive the card rewards. Of you stake 30k SXP for 6 months, you will have 4% cash back forever.
