What's your opinion on platinum? Do you stack at a ratio such as 100oz silver : 1oz gold?
I'm thinking about getting a 1oz round of platinum but with the ways prices are going it may be a better decision to get as much silver as possible?

These are stats from the reign of king edward the first.

The Daily wage of a knight was almost exactly 1 ounce of silver.
The daily wage of a sergeant was 8 grams of silver
The daily wage of a infantry man was roughly 2.7 grams of silver
The daily wage of a archer/crossbow man was around 4.5 grams of silver.

For 500 ounces of silver you could hire 10 armoured knights to follow you around for 50 days.

Comex was never designed as a delivery vehicle, it was designed to roll over contracts in order to short more and divorce the price from reality. 32.7k open interest remained on the August gold contract instead of getting rolled over. 100 oz/contract means 3.2m oz. Largest delivery numbers on record, for like the 5th delivery month in a row.
Basically, it's all the biggest individuals and families cashing out their paper positions in physical instead of fiat. At this rate, the September silver contract (currently at about 130k open interest, 5000 oz per) will clock in at 650m toz of silver, and the whole comex is forced to declare force majeure and default because nobody is able to deliver.

>Hopefully Briffault's law/female hypergamy is taken into account after everything crashes and resets.

It won't be. We live in an age of lies. Huge lies and small lies. Lies about everything. Lies about human nature, about race, about intelligence, about government, about gender, about mental illness, etc. We're here because we are in an age where we don't have to accurately interpret reality in order to survive in it. After everything collapses, every generation from boomers to zoomers will be completely dumbfounded as to what caused it, and will react with violent emotional outbursts (the same way they do if truth about these things now) if you tell them why it happened.

We won't live to see a time when people start to wake up to reality again.

Most people, even the poor, could afford a home and large families, on one income.

Now even professional households have two working parents, sure they are doing well, but the average person is working more just to get by then they used to for sure.

There is also the decreasing levels of service we see in everything, IE less services per $ spent per person, food quality is garbage, home build quality is pretty bad, ect

Just low enough to keep everyone scurrying in the rat race, but not low enough for revolution on our current brainwashed plebs, you are correct there.

Still criminal. This mass social conditioning of people to accept such a fate is the cruelest act in history.

SCENARIO 1 - WITH GOLD STANDARD
>gold is coupled to currency
>banks lower interest rates
>lower interest rates means borrowing becomes cheaper
>cheaper borrowing means people take out larger loans
>larger loans bids up prices on assets (homes) higher
>at the same time FED purchases equity - driving up stock prices
>eventually the FED and banks run out of money to lend and purchase equity with since gold cannot be printed
the rise in asset (homes) and equity (stocks) prices is stopped by the finite nature of gold
if the price of these assets and equity is to continue rising more gold has to be mined
the larger and more advanced your economy becomes the more gold you will be able to mine
hence the price of assets and equity stay in line with the actual material economy (salaries)

SCENARIO 2 - WITHOUT GOLD STANDARD
>gold is NOT coupled to currency
>banks lower interest rates
>lower interest rates means borrowing becomes cheaper
>cheaper borrowing means people take out larger loans
>larger loans bids up prices on assets (homes) higher
>at the same time FED purchases equity - driving up stock prices
>the FED and banks NEVER run out of money to lend and purchase equity with since fiat can be printed into infinity
there is no physical barrier stopping the rise in asset (homes) and equity (stocks)
this allows the banks and the FED to increase the price of assets and equity while the underlying material economy (salaries) shrink

say you work at Toyota in Kentucky - 10 000 people work there, outputting roughly 500 000 cars a year
each employee has an output of roughly 50 cars a year or 1 car per week
each car sells for $30 000
after all business expenses are paid and a small percentage of profit is taken by owners there is enough left to pay you $1 000 per week + health care, etc

the picture I've painted above is fairly static, it changes very slowly - productivity may go up 2%-3% a year at best, which is WHY you get on average 2%-3% raise every year
your salary as a working man is tied to the actual material economy

however

the FED and the banks have increased the monetary base from $50 000m in 1960 to $5 000 000m in 2020 - primarily through lowering interest rates and direct monetary injections into equity markets
that is an average of 8% per year (far removed from the productivity increase of 2%-3% per year)
this, by the way is why the stock market on average returns 10% per year - 8% inflation and 2%-3% actual growth

say you own $10 000 worth of assets and equity and make $50 000 a year - your growth will be
>$10 000 * 1.1 (for 10% growth) = $1 000
>$50 000 * 1.025 (for 2.5% growth) = $1 250
>total growth = $2 250
NOW say you own $50 000 worth of assets and equity but you make $10 000 a year - your growth will be
>$50 000 * 1.1 (for 10% growth) = $5 000
>$10 000 * 1.025 (for 2.5% growth) = $250
>total growth = $5 250

GOLD STANDARD

>people with those little savings can afford homes without having to take out massive loans
>people with those savings can afford to have the woman at home raising the children instead of putting them in a daycare to be raised by some spiteful mutant, or by the state

WITHOUT GOLD STANDARD
>both parents in the household need to work as everything inflates just to get by
>children are brainwashed by the state because the figure that is supposed to raise them is forced to work instead
>people are incentivized not to save, but instead risk all their money in assets that could crash taking the entirety of their accumulated wealth with them

I live in New England, so that is a sort of bubble. Most people my age (30s) is about as literate when it comes to economics as a toddler. They believe quasi-marxist ideas because they went to university and got their indoctrination.

A friend of mine is a full-blown capitalist who has a degree in economics and still votes Democrat because of how incredibly powerful the media is. The brainwashing that has been done to every generation since the Silent Gen is far more powerful than you imagine.

I got pic related yesterday. The two one-ouncers came at $2 over spot, I got the 50g $1 over spot... at a brick and mortar PM and antique shop. Had a nice conversation with the owner about opening my own exchange, and he gave the stuff to me at a decent price.

To elaborate a bit more: the guy had 3 kilo bars of gold as well. Try your local shops and be friendly. These guys want to make a profit, but they'd rather have a repeat customer by giving you a fair price under what you can get online then get a fat one-time premium.

Fucking boomer retard, 80% of divorce are started by woman, the rate of divorce is higher than 55%, the main reason for starting one is "not being happy anymore", and you are telling me this is a good deal ? Your kind deserve to be pension raped.

If you have a lot of silver and are okay with not stacking more, you could wait it out for the potential of lower prices.

If you believe the physical supplies are short and desire more in the immediate, this is still a great price.

I for one believe spot and premiums will decouple and physical will stay expensive, so I continue to stack as I can. I also have not hit my goal of 250

possible credit downgrade coming for treasury bonds, although a bad outlook is as good as an actual dowgrade since the last time a credit rating agency had the balls to downgrade the us government they were slapped with all kinds of penalties and fines

this means money that went into bonds looking for a safe haven will leave into other safe havens given us debt doesnt look so safe now

with the idea that, as time goes on during this mess, the USD is getting devalued further every day. this could be the perfect time to swap USD fiat for PM.
at this stage people are still accepting the usd and its not Zimbabwe dollar yet. together with the fact that PMs have not mooned to infinity yet either.

feels like we are in the eye if the storm when there's stiil a brief few moments to make a scramble to the safety of the tornado shelter.
