I used to think BTC at $1 million was impossible. And I still think it is... measured in 2019 dollars.

Soon burgers will know the true meaning of the word "inflation."

There is no way BTC can reach 100k with the current blocksize and people aren't adopting LN (because it's crap).
Think about it, what is BTC actual usecase?
It's not the store of value meme, it's actually the universal trading pair of the entire market, right now most poorfags wanting to move them between exchanges must pay 4-8 bucks, retail will be COMPLETELY priced out of using BTC if this fee is multiplied by 10, let alone 100.

>right now most poorfags wanting to move them between exchanges must pay 4-8 bucks
You don't use BTC to go between exchanges.
You use something like Doge or DGB.

BTC's usecase is that it has the highest hashrate, so it's the safest way to store money in crypto and ends up becoming an index of sorts. It's not going to die until the hashrate starts falling down from block rewards halving and the network not actually being used for anything, that's many years away.

BTC is BTC . All these people taking shit in this thread are just trying to take away the BTC. The massive shilling of crap coins lately proves it.

BTC will reign supreme. Remember the eth flippening? Exactly nothing happened BTC remained king.

Anything other than BTC and you are the meme.

Remember:
* The safety of PoS as a safeguard of the network is yet to be dested
* PoW coins that are on the top 10 are very easy to subvert. ETC had a 51% attack last year and yesterday.
* BTC has by far the biggest mind share. Ask any normalfag about Bitcoin. Then ask about Ethereum.

Even if you don't, exchanges still have most of their pairs in BTC and still have to make them move between their hot and cold storage for example.

>>20902151
Never said it's going to die, just that the network can't handle this kind of growth without hurting market wide liquidity.

If you are stupid enough to give custody of your btc to an exchange, then you can already use liquid

>> No.20902465

BTC is used for the security its hashrate offers in its ownership. Nobody uses BTC for its actual network transactions, so it going up will hurt nothing. You trade it on exchanges and then move it once or twice if you want to store it in a cold wallet if you have exorbitant amounts only. And now wBTC has had explosive growth you just can even move BTC for cheap as an ERC-20 token kek.

BTC can't scale and thus can never pump to 100k.

It's literally not technically possible for the network to process the transactions and sheer volume required for that valuation.

BTC 1m usd in 2019 dollars is possible , it needs to reach 2x gold marketcap.

Considering that between halvings btc marketcap grew insanely gold marketcap will be reachable by 2021-2022, that will leave 1 btc = 500k usd , but those are 2019 usd , maybe 1m btc is reachable this halving event , hard to say but not in the remains of the impossible.
