If rebase is spread over 10 days, wouldn't we have to be under 0.96c for 9 days for a true negative rebase?

Yes, and that's the point. Neutral arbitragers then have a great game-theoretical incentive to buy any dip below the price band because they will be in profit as long as they can win in the time-weighted average. The same is true for avoiding upward rebases, though. This mechanism keeps the system stable most of the time, but when rebases break out they do so violently like we're seeing now.

The rebase rate is determined by the Oracle Price. The Oracle Price is an average of multiple exchanges for the last 24 hours.
Through rebasing alone it would take about 9-10 days to get to the determined price. But for a negative rebase the price needs to have an average below 96ct for 24 hours.

Is my assumption correct that by whales trying to swing, and thereby tanking the price, we will get smaller rebases, which will net us less money in the long run? Are whales fucking themselves or are they making better gains by swinging?

>> No.20785593

>>20785330
did you until 4 days ago? you have to go back.

>> No.20785612

whales are just waiting for new money to push up the price so they can exit many rebases of profit. if they can/want to exit collectively 20,000,000 ampl and new buys only buy 10,000,000 ampl, how is that gonna turn out?

*this is literally what it is designed to do*

It's not even just a currency at its core, it's a stable liquidity unit. Something to underpin and counterbalance all currencies. It's mind-blowing how large the scope for this is. It's legit #1 material if the DeFi smart contract ecosystem ever overtakes the L1 miner block reward currency zombie market of crypto that is almost entirely distinct at this point.

Swinging AMPL without fucking yourself is not easy anon. Some people here will tell you otherwise, but most of the time it's not worth the risk.
I'm not sure if the price would tank by swinging.
Since the large stacks whales are moving, the price impact is large aswell. But you need to consider that if they're really swinging, not just dumping, they have to re enter at some point. This could also act as a useful stimulus for the market, since the price rises again. And eventually when they're selling to swing, they might offer a new Buy In point for new holders, or worst case scenario just pull the trigger to end a upward trend.

Swinging ampl is not reccomended, seriously its not that hard I’ve been doing it for 4 weeks, the cycle is entertaining every time.
