Even if production goes back to 100%, they will just re-instate dividends, the stock wont go up. The problem with oil is there is finite and predictable demand and a global cartel. There is virtually no possibility of growth in the oil sector. It cannot recover like other stocks because people held them for dividends, not for growth. >unironically believes oil stays low forever

Anyone old enough to have dick hair has lived through endless periods of "oil is running out" arcs. Its the whole drive for alternative fuels.

Last time someone made a car that drove on water instead of gas they got killed. This still remains to this day with the oil cartel and the reason why the tesla meme will ultimately fail.

He can't fight an industry that is over 100 years old.

Oil is a finite resource. It will always go up.

Delta 1.0 = 100% meaning the option price will move 1 point for every 1 point of the underlying. IE if the stock goes up $1, the option will go up $1. If delta were .5 (50%) then a move of $1 of the stock moves the option price $0.50
Theta -0.01 = -1%, meaning the value of the option decreases by 1% per day, So 1% of $3 is $0.03

>What Is Delta?
>Delta is the ratio that compares the change in the price of an asset, usually marketable securities, to the corresponding change in the price of its derivative. For example, if a stock option has a delta value of 0.65, this means that if the underlying stock increases in price by $1 per share, the option on it will rise by $0.65 per share, all else being equal.

Yeah exactly Delta isn't a percentage, a call option Delta can never exceed 1.00
Regular shares have a Delta of 1.00

The whole point is this dude keeps saying that either Delta or Theta is a % change in price when it's an arithmetic change +/- 0.0 to 1.0.
Your example shows the option price increasing by a flat $0.65 because the Delta is 0.65
Similarly, a theta of -0.01 would result in the option price decreasing by $0.01 for a one unit change in time (one day)

>Nooooooo why is silver recovering
Look at metal charts during volatile periods in the past. Not zoomed way out. 1day candles. You will see. I realize it looks unsettling if you're not familiar but this is what they do, always, forever.

So the question: how know when drawdown is typical within existing trend or indicative of a reversal? To determine that you watch the bounce and judge the volume behind the price action. Personally I like to put a stop loss just below the initial big red candle while I wait to see how things settle out. Usually that first red candle is the deepest low the thing will hit for a couple days thereafter. If it's the ^ shaped reversal, bane of my trading existence, I get stopped out the following day, hopefully not on a massive gap down.

Once you see it on the main news and /wsb/ talking about it every 3 threads, you know it's probably too late to get in on it.

If you get in on it after it already mooned 40%, you're better off looking for something else to cash in on an initial 40% moon, rather than hoping the thing you got into moons 40% AFTER it already mooned 40%. That means if something was $10, and you bought in at $14, it would have to go to $19.6 for YOU to make 40%, while for the others it would be a 96% moon.

Don't FOMO, and probably get some 1-2 month dated puts while it's cheap.

Okay. Have a look at the USDEUR or DXY charts. Part of the earlier selling on shinies was about the dollar showing some kind of reluctance to lose further value for the moment. Now things have again become cloudy. Have look here at hourly candles. Does that look like the start of a bullish reversal? Because it doesn't (for now) to me.
