CBDC's are central bank digital currency. Each country is going back to a gold or precious metal standard. XRP is the bridge asset between the countries. Both countries want their own gold backed digital currency, but they still need to be able trade with other countries.

Banks are running on really old systems. you know how all the hospitals use COBALT? Its an old system because hospitals can never shut down, so they can't update the system. Same thing with banks. Their technology is REALLY OLD and REALLY SLOW. That's basically why everything is shut down right now. Money is very illiquid right now. Money is just not moving. But that's really intentionally because if everything is shut down it allows for their systems to be worked on.
